But yes, i think the playstation (psone) was the revolutional console for me and my family with Tomb Raider being one of the first 3D enviroment games we played, and crash bandicoot!
N64 was great, but i've gone through soo many controllers when playing Mario Party haha and soo many blisters and so forth on my hands :/. lol!
Holographic RTS Games on set top tables!
See this as you get a table lets say 2/3 metres by 2/3 metres and its all holographic.
You put the RTS games into it and the map you choose pops up as a realistic holographic content.
You then have the option with your hand to select a group or single units and tell them what to do. Now thats Real Time Strategy!
While for FPS i reckon it would be good like others have said to have a headset/helmet on and you can look right or left to look that way. While for movement you have your joystick maybe, and right hand is a trigger and a button for firing and reloading ect.
While MMOs, well i dunno, they really have to have something ...well i dunno they seem to have thought of everything. WoW3? lol nah hope not.
The graphics card is the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600.
Toshiba P200/S04
-Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
- 2GB RAM
- 160 + 160 GB (320GB) HDD
- DVD
- ATI 512
- Vista Ultimate
- 17" Screen
$ 2600
&
HP DV 9615TX
- Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4Ghz
- 2GB RAM
- 500GB HDD
- DVD-R
- Geforce 8600M
- Vista Prem
- 17" Screen
$ 3300
For the Extra $700 - is it worth upgrading to the HP? Ok, the HDD is more but i got the WD external HDD 160x2 so it dont really bother me. Other than that the graphics card, what is better? the ATI 512 or the 8600M? I dunno lol.
I plan on using this for study when i go to TAFE next year, but also want to use it for gaming (i know Laptops aint the best ect ect) but i dont want to drag my PC to lans and so forth and like to sit in the lounge while playing games and watching TV lol.
But yes, what games would be able to play on them? I know Bioshock for example should have a problem (work collegue has the DV9620TX). How would games such as, i dunno - crysis? for example run , or even call of duty 4?
Cheers guys!!

SG
My mates tell me just to give it away because its not worth anything, yeah right..lol.
Ill try my luck with $700 for the first week or two, then push it down to $600 and go from there.
Thx mate!
Hey guys, im clearing my room "due to moving" and wanting to sell one of my desktop PCs. Im not great with pricing for PCs because all these specials and all that at retailers, and how much price's change every few weeks.
So thought how much would this machine go for now or even just after xmas?
Im in Australia so AUD would be good, if not ill goto xe.com and change from other currencies :).

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Processor 550J 3.4Ghz 1MB L2cache 800mhz P5B
RAM: 1024 400mhz DDR SDRAM Memory
HDD: 160GB + 160 External that goes into the machine in the front
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce 6600GT with 256mb PCI-E.

Then of course i have the W/L Adapters and all the software ect - plus a new subscribtion for 1 year anti virus i can give to them for extra the proce, with w/l keyboard and mouse and a 17" Monitor CRT.
I dunno, at the time i purcahsed it i got it for $2400.00AUD - This was about 1.5 years ago, so maybe im guessing around $1000.00AUD?
I dunno, would be great to know what is a good price for that.
Cheers guys!
I work in retail in software/games department and this year, and last year the Nintendo Wii has outsold all other consoles! Then again Nintendo (in Australia anyway) has trouble producing enough stock. Now im sold out of Wii's at the moment but i get bloody enough calls and people comming in wanting to buy the WII that its not funny...
Anyway, we will see - i personally own all the next gen consoles and to be honest the WII itself is getting used the least, my PS3 at the moment is being used the most...actually i lie...my PC is, but in terms of consoles. I dunno we will see in another 2-3 years time to actually see who has the best to early to tell imo.
While if starcraft went to be a mmo, i reckon it will use the same mechanics with some extra features thrown into the mix like WoW with a SC skin over the top.
While Diablo they could use very similar mechanics but also make it different in terms of graphics and so forth. I dunno, we'll see, time will tell.

Now in terms of value i think it would be the LG 32"er? Correct? higher numbers the better? lol - dont know the tech specs and what they mean so sorry bout that :*(
Is the 42"er LG a good one to grab? comparing the prices etc to the rest of them?
Thx guys!

Im buying the PS3 tomorrow at EB Games, seeing they are the only store who has stock atm :).
The reason why i want to get it, first off im trading in my 3060 and the games for the ps3 etc. The thing is i wasnt happy with the online gaming on the 360, while i have tryed the online gaming at a couple of mates houses and it gave me much more experiance for enjoyment than the 360. Ok, i live in Aust and there isnt many titles out, but there will be heaps coming out in the following months!
On the other note, family also wants to get a blue ray player so i will hit two birds with one stone kinda thing, seeing the PS3 is the cheapest blue ray player in perth that i have found that also has entertainment like online play etc etc.
Other than that it has inbuilt wireless - once again 360 i couldnt be bothered to buy an extra w/l adapter that will get me back another 180 bucks AUD to get it on w/l then 100 bucks for online play.
Sorry i just couldnt get enough online enjoyment yet alone a good game with xbox (just bloody hard to find a aussie game server....).
Thats my reason, once again others will have different reasons to go out and buy stuff, like cars, computers etc. Other words...if you got the money and your sitting on and have nothing to do with it and you want something...go out and buy it - thats what i do..well semi do. I put about 50 bucks a week away from my pay towards my "wish well". When i get enough money that i can buy what i want well yeah :).
Best of luck towards you with whatever choice u go for.
