I have to go with the Tactics as my personal worst game in the series. The thought of taking a traditional role playing game and adding a "chess-like" theory of attack ranges and directional attacking didn't do anything to advance the popularity of the series. I did like how the job system was involved but the sheer frustration of the battling allowed me to put it down and never actually finish the game before selling it for in-store credit to buy FFX. :D
I have never made a banner before but I have ALWAYS wanted to. I always feel left out of the banner comps because I just don't have the program/technology to make one I would like to submit. Where is a great place to go to make one that is actually worth showing off??
As a side note to anyone looking to "improve on the music" (as if you actually could) I recommend downloading the freeware Finale Notepad sheet music creator. It is an awesome program that gives you a blank page of sheet music upon which you can place notes, rests, slurs, creschendos, etc. where you will AND you can playback the piece as you're working on it to check for accuracy and places of improvement.
PS The program requires a slightly more than adequate knowledge of being able to read and write sheet music.

I was browsing through the Web for sheet music to FF when I stumbled across a site I couldn't imagine. It's called the Galbadia Hotel (alot of you have probably already heard of it) and for those who haven't, it allows users to download FREE sheet music and MP3s to almost any and all Anime/Video games. Unfortunately due to excessive bandwidth use, funding issues to meet the insane demands and download ques longer than the opening of Star Wars Episode 1, they were forced to remove the Final Fantasy mp3 section and limit it to a sheet music section only.
For all of you who are in love with the music of Uematsu (and the series in general) and would love to play piano like him allow me to share my findings with you.
I opt for the 2-handed swords in the beginning of the game but as the game progresses (like all good RPGs) the shields start giving significant increases in defense, so the nearer I am to the end of the game I start using shields and one-handed swords.
I agree that Zidane is nasty but I don't mind the tail thing and the agility...I'm in it for the double bladed weapons and dual knives. Plus he just knows the difference of when to kick up hs heels and go with the flow, or get super serious and explain his side of why he does what he does. I also think being created and all is sort of a fun twist they hadn't used in the FF world before. My girlfriend LOVES Garnet so I think that might have helped in my decisions :P (just a bit though)
I copped out the easy way and bought a Pro Action Replay to make the clock go EXTRA SLOW!!! Every second only went by as .01 seconds, I just had to make sure my balloons were more than my birds so I still had to race her and win :D The purists can say what they want, it's water off a duck's back. It still allowed me to get a powered up Caladbolg (along with all of the other UWs)! I just don't see the reason to get so frustrated that you start breaking things or make a sailor blush with your cussing.

I would have to say Bahamut from IX. Great intro animation (full and edited), he's in the more intense FMVs in the game and very adequate damage (second next to Arc) and c'mon, he has NO EYES!! :) :) :)
