Gamestop offers a $50 online gift card when you purchase a ps3. I was hoping for a price cut but since that doesn't appear to be happening maybe this is my best bet. Does anyone know if this is something that they have all the time or is the gift card just a limited time only thing?
I am going to Gamestop because I have store credit to use, otherwise I would be going to Best Buy.
Theres no way those sports games will get you over 10-12 dollars... they generally pay higher the fewer copies they have, and vice versa. I was in my local Gamestop this afternoon and the shelf was flooded with copies of Madden 09. COD4 will fetch prolly 15 or so.raven_squad
This past saturday I traded in my collection of 360 games, which included COD4 and Madden 09. I got around $17 or so each before my bonus of 40% for how many games i turned in. I doubt much has changed in less than week.
until this sunday you will get an extra 20% store credit. The sports games should bring you $15-18 so that should get you just enough to buy it with the 20% added on. Get there quick!
also if you read this again and care to answer, is there lag when video games upscale from 750p to 1080p? ive heard that 360(which is what i have) has upscaling and the ps3 dosent, whats that basicly mean?MetalxHealthx
I have never heard of lag when upscaling i'm not sure if exactly if that is possible.
great read, thanks for the info much appreciated. that answerd some questions i had and i deffinitly agree and have noticed the motion blur. im honestly kind of leaning towards plasma, as long as there is no glare i feel its kind of easier on the eyes. and if what you said about the refresh rate and the ghz is true then id kinda feel like a fool for not getting that lol

that's the model number of a Samsung I have been looking at.
Yes, I forgot to mention about the glare. Some screens on plasmas are real good on glare now, but they won't compare to LCD. Make sure you do all your research. My TV will be in a darker room with smaller windows, no real chance for having glare, but if you might have glare don't rule out LCDs.
