See if your sub has an option or dial to change the cutoff frequency and try turning it up a bit. This would mitigate some of the vibrations and still retain the audible bass. Foam isn't a bad idea but you could also try some thick foam discs which would give much the same effect.

Have you tried the "ECO Quick Launch Touch Sensor?" According to the MSI spec page this selects between different power management options which might be overriding the Windows settings.
Yeah the same thing happened to a mate of mine. He didn't know the subscription automatically renewed so the money wasn't there. He rang them up and sorted it out and then bought a pre-paid card so it didn't happen again (which is what I meant by my first post djrobst).
Yeah but so were DVDs when they first came out. Unfortunately Sony will make sure Blu-Ray is here to stay for a while so get saving. I would say end of this year; it might not be great, it might not be pretty but someone will manage it.
Vsync on and you should not notice a drop in framerates as it should be refreshing fast enough that you don't notice. 1680x1050 is a standard widescreen resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
Things do seem to have gotten cheaper after they went up so high in recent years. I think the focus has shifted from getting the most power you can, to getting the most power per watt you can in order to make things more efficient. Sure there are still real enthusiast parts but you get a lot more bang for buck in the mid range of PC components than you used to. For instance, it used to make a difference to how Windows felt when you were using it depending on what speed processor you had and how much RAM you had. Now almost anything will run Windows just fine without having to shell out for top notch parts and it's starting to get that way with games as well; developers are putting out more and more games that don't have to be run at super high whizzy settings with 8x AA etc just to look acceptable.
