Well, tried to load the drivers I downloaded from MSI's site, got an error stating the system wants the oem drivers from the setup disc. Anybody know where on the disc the may be or how I can get these driveers loaded? At this point I am becoming very upset. I have never had this much problems setting up a system. Do you think If I had a copy of XP-Pro with service pak 2 already on it that may help?
As a rule of thumb, DVD-r's are fantastic for backing up data and things of that nature. If you are one of those who like to backup DVD movies, then stick to using DVD+r's.
Have done all that, all seems well. Could the problem be with the version of XP I am using? I purchased it years ago, and it has no service paks on the disc, just straight XP-Pro.
Hey guys, I could use a bit of help with this one. I recently built a system= Q6600, 500 gig western digital HD, MSI P35 NEO2-FR Intel P35 Socket 775 board, G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 x 2. All went well and system fired up nice the first try. My problem is now when I go to load my OS - Xp-Pro, the message to load raid drivers appears. I select F6 to install from manufacturers disc, which is loaded in my second dvd drive, but windows keeps telling me to load drivers in floppy drive A. I have no A drive in this system, and even if I did it would do me no good. I checked the boot sequence in the bios, and all seems fine there. Any advice on how I can make windows look at the correct drive?
Ok, so I have started to narrow down my choices. What I would like to know is, is there really a big difference between the dual cores and the quad cores? I want a stong system will use it for gamming, and want a quality board and chip. Any ideas?
For the sake of argument, if I wanted to run duel vid cards, what would be a recommended board? I only ask because in the past I have had problems with cheap mother boards. I don't mind paying for quality.
