The edge dev tools contain a bunch of profilers which helps devs manage the processor useage among other things, its nothing they wont already have, but its made by sony/nvidia so may help in places. There is also a set of tech to help people do back face culling and such.

I also see you skipped Beta, the format which has been used almost exclusively in every TV station since its creation.

The 360 is famous as being one of the worst DVD players ever, you can find server detailed articles about this. If you want to play DVDs, use a DVD player.

Actualy coding for the cell isnt that complicated, its just most devs are used to dumping everything onto 1 CPU, while for thye PS3 you make specific functions for specific units. The devs are going to have to learn to do it that way sooner or later as Quad Core goes standard in 2008.
Satelite has an epic latency, often 2-3x more than the minimum needed for a dialup game. Unless you're on a terrestrial system hooked up via ISDN or something you wont have a hope in hell in using any such service.
why Halo is so great. I get that it is a good First Person Shooter, and the first one had the best controls of its time. But really, what is so great about it? Is it just that it was popular when it came out, and the fanbase just grew from there?Rick__Roller
Originaly Halo was due to be a major technical revolution. Tons of new effects, it was due for every platform you can think of and the dev team had this amazing attitude. Then MS bought them, the dev team quit in disgust and all the good stuff was stripped out. The hype continued from MS, then it came out. Wasnt exactly a looker, didnt have any new gameplay, was just something MS hyped for their console.
