Yes there has been a conection problem the last weekish BUT thats due to all the kids out of school and online flooding the servers when they all go back to school it will be back to normal...If the PSN had as many PPL it would also be having the same problem JUST goes to show you how weak it customer base islge777
Yeah no.... thats so funny and wrong in every context Im embarrassed for you.
An infrastructure that allows the community to self-governVoodooHak
Which is a system function, not a network function so not included in LIVE, also its not really that good.
Two levels of matchmaking
Preference-based, using the features listed above
Skill-based, using MS's TrueSkill systemVoodooHak
Both are title based, not network based. Infact MS's systems is actually in titles on the PS3.
Functional cross-game invite system that brings you straight into a friend's sessionVoodooHak
Functional in home (which is so late) however Home also adds on party support which live lacks. Once again tho this is all System functionality, it has nothing to do with LIVE.
Closed, secure network that actively checks for modded consolesVoodooHak
Again a system function, and not LIVE.
MS has resources whose job is to specifically connect with the community. Major Nelson, Trixie... and the support they give to fan sites. Not to mention the organized events on their Community Calendar, like Ladies Night, Family Game Night, Prime Time and Frag Doll Fridays.VoodooHak
Way not LIVE, and a few blogs and calenders hardly warrant 50bucks a year. Sony offers similar things.
MVP, Ambassador and Community Developer Programs... those gamercards in our sigs were made by fan sites aided by MS programmers. Same can be said about Achieve360Points.com, 360Voice.com and other sites I'm forgetting.
The cross-country campaign to help educate parents and legislators about online gaming
That's plenty to justify the cost to me.

So far from LIVE its not crazy. You honestly think LIVE pays for that? hahaha.
Well the campaign they have going now is pretty good imo, it's definetely been pretty effective at getting the word out on the ps3's new price and busting the myth that it has no games. Plus it's a lot better than the original launch ads, like the one with the baby and the rubiks cube. Shaqneel
Im going to assume hes refering to the "This Is Living" spots. They're not good at anything.
you get what you pay for PS3= Subpar games and lack luster PSN and XBL= lots lots of demo's and XBLA worth 50$ to me ..I also hate having to pay for another account for the same XBOX 360lge777
So, you mean to say you know nothing of PSN. You could have just said that.
whats up with sonys ad's............WTF???? they dont make me want to buy a PS3.(even thogh i own one any way)..........i'm really p**sed that sony seems to have rolled over and lain down......"get up and start fighting harder"!!!!!!.......
any way sorry bout that rant.....um what do you think sony should do?

Sony traditionally gives a director the chance to do anything they want for the first launch campaign, then in future they move to the proper one. Its happened on the PS1, PS2, and PS3. Remember the 3rd place?
