Out of all the things on this earth to purchase 2nd hand, the 360 would be the last on the list. What if they dont want to fix it for free (as some are now discovering)? Then you're screwed. Worst of all, you could get it fixed, get the new unit and have it fail again to require re-fixing. Bad idea dude.If I were to buy a used 360 with RROD would I be able to send it to MS to be fixed under warranty?? Assuming no one ever opened it up.

Well me and my bro both want our own Live accounts, but I was wondering if that means we'll have to pay twice or will the one gold subscription cover the both of us?zepman71Oh yeah. Thats the equiv of 2 games a year. You can imagine what a large family has to shell out.
I have it for the PC and its great but i was wondering how big the PS3 community is for it?candid_llamaIm guessing 4 guys, 1 of which who through they were buying Orange Juice.
ya but the psn home is a........SYSTEM FUNCTION:lol:HellRazer360Were talking about a reason for the cost of live, Home isnt a system function but additional software indeed, however it does have lower functions which are indeed system tied.
Works wonderfully for me. The catch is that the onus falls upon the user to actually use those features. These functions really don't come into play with Silver accounts. They provide a benefit to Gold subscribers since they are the ones actually connecting with other peopleVoodooHakyet its still not in live. System function.
It's included in the dev kit for devs to use. With over 300 Xbox titles using TrueSkill, it's still a valid bullet point in favor of Xbox Live. yet its not a part of LIVE, its a title function. Its also just simple match making of which many systems exist. Its also something devs can choose to license for other platforms.VoodooHak
It benefits ONLY pople with Xbox Live Gold since it deals with online mulitplayer. How does Silver benefit? Valid point for Xbox Live. Home? What good is it if it's not standard. Last time I checked, Home is optional. I'll believe Home's cross-game functionality once I see it. As it stands, it's up there with in-game XMB as vaporware.VoodooHakDoesnt matter who it benefits or holds back as in this case, its not a part of LIVE but a system function. Ingame XMB has been included with many titles along with custom sound tracks. The Home interface is a PSN feature but manageable within Home.
Similar but hardly as organized. ThreeSpeech? Please. These scheduled nights would only matter to those with Xbox Live Gold unless you've figure out a way to participate in Frag Doll Friday with a silver account. The point is there are people scheduling these things and keeping the events monitored.VoodooHakThreeSpeech hasnt got anything to do with Sony, I was referring to their own blogs, their various studios blogs, community functions, and such.
MS pays for the support. And until I see similar supprot for the competition, it's a valid plus for XBLVoodooHakThey dont need Sonys support, PSN is open. ... I still have not seen a single thing mentioned which warrants paying the richest company in the world for basic multiplayer access.
People like you just don't understand. If Live were free, it wouldn't have all the features and downloadable content has now. You get what you pay for. PSN is free and it sucks doesn't it? Live costing money is what makes it so good because that money goes towards making Live a better place.matt2012What features exactly, how would not paying for it stop devs from choosing to make small games for it? that makes no sense.
