Yeah, I have to disagree. The $100 price difference is a <i>huge</i> advantage for Sony, especially in the absence of hands-on experience that will make one console more desirable than another.

Over time this may be less of an issue as prices drop and the gap narrows, but it will probably give Sony a big lead in their first year of sales. In previous generations, that might have been an insurmountable obstacle, but console exclusives are not what they used to be, so I suspect it will even out over time.

This is the first I've heard about these games potentially being released on the PS4 or XB1. I'd love to see that, but I'm skeptical that it will happen.

@Ravenlore_basic I think that was really the basic lesson of this article. I'm not sure what everyone else commenting here got from it (other than they want a game where they can shoot women exclusively).

I didn't think this article would spark such an idiotic comment thread, but I guess that's what happens when gamers try their hand at political and legal analyses.

I would be less-than-thrilled to see a Valve controller. Not only is the XBOX 360 controller fantastic in its own right, but it works on a variety of platforms (XBOX, PC, Mac, OnLive, etc) and many gamers already have them. I don't really need another specialized controller lying around.

I hadn't considered this, but since Microsoft and Sony both support cloud-based game saves, it seems like it should be possible for some of your data to be transferable, even if it's just a one-shot deal.

Death of the video game console? I hadn't heard about that. All I've been hearing about is the death of PC gaming (absurd) and the death of handheld game systems (maybe real).

Console gaming seems to be one of the few bright spots for the industry.
