The Gold Edition of the Game comes fully patched, and i have all my drivers fully up to date. The annoying thing is that it was working perfectly yesterday just after installation I don't know what turning the computer off and then on again a day later could do to the game?

Hey i just bought the gold pack yesterday installed it... played it for a bit then turned my computer off. I came home today turned my computer on to play it but everytime i try to start the game it comes up minimized in the corner... if i click the minimized icon it comes up for about a second with a black screen and then minimizes again, the same problem also occurs in the BI expansion... it was really fun and Iwas looking forward to playing it.... this is really annoying me, please help.

System Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13GHz
XFX GeForce 8800GTS 320mb
2046MB DDR2RAM
250GB Seagate Barracuda
Windows XP Pro Edition

Any help would be much appreciated as i really want to play this game.

Well I never really think about resale value when buying a computer and although you are most likely right about the price thing I have to start somewhere, and that is not going to be an 8800GTX or GTS, unless i can convince my father to up the budget as it will be better in the long run. Which i know it will be (with DX10, Crysis and all  ).

Asus 650i sound like the board for you, quite a nice overclocker.
As for the hard drive, Seagate 7200.10 or WesternDigital, make sure it is 7200rpm and16mb.

Do you live in the US and buying the parts from an etailer?
If so you can get a better card for about $200, the 7950gt or x1950xt.

lol I wish i lived in the US when it came to all this gaming stuff, everything is much much cheaper. I live in Australia, I priced the 7900GT at around $400, thats like $320 US or more, Our computer guy does get things wholesale though so hopefully he'll be able to hook me up with something better but at a starting card I thought the 7900GT was a good one.

Thanks for the info on the motherboard, im going to go check the one out now and the hard drive. Pretty sure it will be fine :D

Why SLI is a waste------> A single 8800GTX will smoke 7900GT in SLI. I would say a P965 mobo would be fine because they are good for OCing.X360PS3AMD05

Yes but the 8800GTX is very expensive, I've looked at all the options and the 8800GTX and GTS are out of my price range, It would be lovely to have one but I just cant afford it.

My reasoning for SLI is that later down the track ill be able to pick up a 7900GT for cheap as and it will be a nice little upgrade...... Plus it's always nice to have all the options open to you just incase.

And in the meantime just remove the side of the case that will help cooling.

Hey I'm getting a new computer built for me and am just writing up what I need at the moment.

So far I have:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400

GPU: Geforce 7900GT

RAM: 2GB DDR2

The thing that I am stuck on is the Motherboard, I need something that I can upgrade to 4GB of RAM in the future and I also was thinking that it would be best if it had SLI capabilities as well so I could maybe slot another 7900GT in down the track.

Oh and any suggestions on a nice 250GB Hard Drive would be nice as well.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thank you!
