You have a Core i7 so get the PS3 version.

The game doesn't work for a lot of people with CPU's that have more than 2 cores. I have an i7 930 and it crashes everytime I try to play.. even if I shut down all but 2 of the 8 cores.

I prefer MW2 i think...

I went back and tried it out the other day after playing a lot of black ops and my god is it smooth! I couldn't get over how silky smooth the gameplay felt compared to blops.

The maps are sooo much better, like you said there are just too many entry points and hiding spots for campers in blops.

MW2's spawn system wasn't the best but it's a hell of a lot better than blops... I have literally spawned in the middle of a group of enemies multiple times and had enemies constantly spawn behind me. It's frustrating and cheap.

The weapons were more interesting in MW2.. they each felt unique... everything feels way too samey and dull in blops. Also not liking how camos now mean nothing...

Also knife is worse than MW2... God make it something people use as a last resort only, not first.

What's up with the gaming industry these days... it's like if at first you don't succeed, make a sequel.

Starcraft 2 came out 12 years after the original and the updates to graphics and physics are incredibly dramatic.

Think about it, another CoD game came out just last year, whereas a human can go from birth to adolescence in the period between SC releases.

Well they weren't dramatic at all... the game was extremely familiar even after 12 years. Also stop acting like waiting 12 years for a sequel is a good thing... It isn't.

Plus it's a whole year... seems small in the grand scheme of things but playing a game for more than a year is a big ask. It does happen but its rare.

I was reading on Reuters that this game has set a new record for the game industry, but I really can't fathom why. We waited over a decade for the release of Starcraft 2, whereas a CoD game was released just last year, along with a slew of modern military shooters this year.

It's really amazing how a company can churn out essentially the same game year after year and people will continue to buy it. It's a testament to the effectiveness of marketing vs. actual quality development.

Funny that you mention Starcraft 2 of all games, a game that isn't overly different from its predecessor and plays nearly the same. Would people have it any other way? No.

CoD's the same, it has a winning formula that just works well and people love it... I don't understand what's so hard to get. Also I don't get why Black Ops isn't quality? It's sure as hell fun to play and is more feature rich than 99% of games that are released these days.
