I'm using a 360 VGA cable to connect to my LG 20" LCD widescreen monitor and it looks fantastic. I used to have a $2000 hdtv but got rid of it thankfully because I hardly notice a difference and will never pay so much for one again.

Hey i've been playing for a day, im on Gladden server char name is "Gimly". Add me

PROS: I saw a cool fight/display within the first couple minutes of playing the game which I havn't experienced in any other mmo. I felt very involved with the story very quickly which I havn't felt before in any other mmo's I played including WoW (which I have been playing since the start). Killing things seems more satisfying to me in this game then it does in WoW. Better graphics then WoW (but my crappy videocard cant take advantage of it). Nicer atmospheres then those found in WoW and other games. Unique things to the game that I havn't seen in other mmo's (I won't describe them all).

CONS: Higher system req's then WoW or other mmo's. Lots of loading screens.

That's all I can think of right now.

If you havn't played splinter cell before then don't start with DA. It's way different then what Splinter Cell is best known for which is stealth action in the dark. I'd try a previous Splinter Cell and you should be able to get a copy for cheap (or download a demo). Since you're a fan of Oblivion, SI sounds like you're best bet but only if you really like Oblivion and have gotten far in it. I can't say much about Fable as I havn't played it before. Might want to rent Fable and get SI or something.

WEll you should think about it and make your own decisions. Nobody here knows your video game preferences. If you're a fan of oblivion get Shivering Isles. If you like splinter cell get double agent. I don't know what else I can say.

I had the same feeling when I first played it. The world is so big and open ended offering you the ability to do anything and go anywhere, you just don't know what to do. Just play the main quest and you'll be going through oblivion gates soon enough, or try other quests found in the city. To be honest I neevr liked the game and havnt gotten far myself, nor do I see myself ever playing it again. I prefer to have more direction in my games.

Hey I remember seeing an mmo set in the wild west (cowboys/indians) but I'm not sure if it's still in development. I'm wondering if anyone heard anything at all about future Western mmo plans? I loved Call of Juarez and the slow motion duels (think how cool that'd be in an mmo). I've been playing mmo's for a long time and WoW since the beginning. But an mmo featuring real guns/settings (preferrably set in the old west) would satisfy me more then any mmo out currently.

I'm playing the beta now too. I just got past the first cave with the troll : D. I never seen such a cool fight/display within the first couple minutes of any other mmo I played (includingWoW). I'm on the first server on the list (starts with a G, I forget the rest). My char's name is Gimly. If you're on the server you should add me so we can explore the game as a team.

EDIT: Server name is Gladden.

I get the feeling that Im back in highschool again with all these "get a girlfriend" comments. It's almost as if people are saying this because they want to appear to be on a higher level then others. They must still be rather young as it's a stage people go through. I guess they'll grow out of it.
