@m4a5 @the_requiem You'll be surprised how overwhelming the desire to believe in something fantastical coming true can be, to the point it blinds one to reason. I've worked long enough in tech security to come across folks who fall for such scams even when they're fully aware that they're scams. They just want to believe that it is the real deal with them.
@m4a5 Actually that is the reason why those Nigerian scam mails haven't changed their MO. If anyone is still ignorant and stupid enough to fall for those mails, they're stupid enough to go the whole nine yards. It costs money to scam and anyone not going all the way is money wasted/lost.
@Robertn__07 Well, if you're old enough to know how WW1 got started then you should also know that the original saying was "You shouldn't believe ANYTHING you read on the internet, that's how the Dark Ages got started."
@jcnba28 @svaubel Wow! Didn't know folks wanted an Aliens game this badly. This optimism reminds me of all those women who fall for bad guys, believing somehow it will be different with them.
@Sideshow_me Well, you know what more is equally important in the PR game? Credibility. What do you think will happen when GBX comes out with next new/licensed IP and Randy is telling everyone how great and innovative it is? BTW, lying doesn't really help any company in the longer run, unless they apologize and pretend to be really sorry. People have really short memory, but internet never forgets anything.
@abHS4L88 In my experience it is not more power/tools that lead to innovation, but lack of the same. Best innovations come from having to work around or beyond the limitations. So whenever anyone says they need "more power to be creative or innovative" I read it as "we're ain't got no creativity or innovation".
