Well.... if they couldn't then they'd have to update the firmware as if it were two different machines, I doubt it. There was an update for games that use the PS2 harddrive that's still available... hm.

Tell me one thing. Why is an RPG A SHOOTER AS WELL. And why do they repeat sounds during the battle. Throughout that whole "demo," one of the phrases of that annoying woman voice actor kept saying multiple time, if I'm not mistaken. I'm walking out of Ebgames, finally finishing my Ps2 collection with the Devil May Cry Collection set. As I'm walking out I notice all the kiosks. They're all on, except one.
The Ps3 kiosk is off, completely. No big deal, I think. Then I take a look at the casing. White spots cloud the sheilding. Now I can't think it was someone other than the employees because one, all the white spots seem to be burly blows by an slightly overweight individual, and they all try to hit where the logo is, if you were that size looking down.
All the kiosks were on and in perfect condition (the 360, gamecube, ps2, and wii one), except the PS3 which looked like it hadn't been turned on in a long time.
So not only is the PS3 kiosk blank, it also has damage to its own shielding. Odd... I know, I didn't dare ask, I didn't have a camera. I just wanted to get the heck out of there before they figured out I had a PS3.
It's JUST A VIDEO GAME SYSTEM. Why oh why, is there such childish bias over a stupid system. I have the system, it's great! But seriously, this has got to stop.
I can't just sit down and let people bash the system without any evidence to their claim. It's a f@#$% circus!
Someone needs to e-mail a Sony rep about the possibility of EB and Gamestop tampering with their kiosks. Because this is just getting rediculous now. It's disgusting because 1) It's only a video game system and 2) that someone would take the time to actually permit blows to the system and leave it off.
Not like there was a problem with it, they would've replaced it. Who's sick of this $hit? I know I am.

Wii is too kiddie to dominate. Please don't try and contrast this with DS and PSP, the handheld market and console market are two different beasts.
