It looks better than that OTHER console on an SDTV. Everything can be seen, it's not usually a problem to read text or anything. You can game for SDTV without feeling your missing something. But when I get a HDTV, I'll probably say that I couldn't live without it.
Never played the series, heard about it. I want it. Why? Can't stand jaggies, now the jaggies are gone. It looks great, I want it now. Heard it's coming Autumn of 2007. :D Can't wait!
Having played all the systems, I'd say that the PS3 and Wii have the most value. MS' 360 is too last gen and hollow in its gaming capabilities (no motion sensing??). Besides the problem with 360 is that they are TOO focused on online gaming and forgoing the biggest chunk which wants to have a great single-player adventure. This is why you'll see so many shooters continue on the 360, because FPS is a great thing for online gaming. As far as RPGs or anything else, it has been so mediocre, and unsatisfying, it's not appealing to many people. The point is... you can't just HAVE variety. You're going to need a hook, something to snag people in and keep coming. That's why there's so many sequels of Mario. If I were MS about 7 years ago, I would've invested in about 10 heavily funded franchises spanning new and old genres of gaming. Sony got it. Nintendo's had it for years. MS is going to need more than Halo to win anything. Especially if the overly-funded Killzone blows away any minds, that'll be a harsh blow. I think MS took it too technical and by the books. Without some real substance or philosophy behind these consoles, they are doomed to fail. What was Dreamcast, what did it want to do for gamers? You can't JUST make a system, you need something to snag them. You don't play by the rules, you break them and make new ones, or you are doomed to fail. And that's why I play my PS3 everyday, along with my Wii every other day. Both are great consoles. But paying for online after shoveling out $400, is not my style. I'd rather bite the bullet and pay up upfront for great entertainment, instead of having to buy a burger a McDonalds and run to the toilet 20 minutes later because that's how long 360 games last to me. Those are my thoughts.
Ew.... Bioshock looks disgusting... It hides all its ugliness in dark, I don't want that in my system. Have you seen the art direction? It's horribly ugly, like a scribble. Sigh, we need less Shooters.
