@BeefoTheBold: I have boxes full of games/DVDs/Blu-Rays, in closets full of...boxes. Not to mention books -- college text books and every technical book purchased over the last 20+ years. To have all that reduced to something with the dimensions of a hard drive would be fantastic.
People expressed concern about with digital games, and now sales of the format has climbed. PC players were way ahead of console users. I expect game services like Game Pass with be more readily adopted with each passing year.
@idmah: They can be OK as entertainment. I completed Indigo Prophecy on PC and Heavy Rain when it was first released. I would not replay them again, though. Their games play out like watching a movie or reading a story, and there is always some wacky sh1t in there.
@fotis52: Sekiro requires that you discipline yourself. Most games do on the highest difficulties, but Sekiro has one. The parrying and mikiri counter took some getting used to in the early hours. The controller I started the game on now has a broken left bumper.
I almost quit at the my first big boss encounter (Lady Butterfly). Most people don't face her first, apparently. My stop-and-go playstyle came back to haunt me. Sometimes, life gets in the way and I don't play a game for months or a year in extreme cases. I decided to step away, do something else, and think over strategy at my leisure.
@goldenageplayer:I am looking forward to Halo Infinite MP and campaign, however...
Why are there still miners in the 26th century? God damn Joe Manchin...
I figure the miners know they are screwed and there is no way to dig out in time by hand. It is well acted, yet a "silly" premise. Never read any of the books, but these guys seem to have been desperate long before the cave-in.
@goldenageplayer: People buy systems largely because of brand loyalty. People buy third party games most overall. You greatly exaggerate how good those Sony exclusives are -- they look nice, they teams dream up a new veneer to cover the same old gameplay borrowed from elsewhere in the industry. Sony has a strategy of buying 1+ 3rd party timed-exclusives and obscuring the time period. Apparently, there 1st party exclusives need some company.
@daidochus: I have it on Series X. When I try to install on PC (through XBox app), an error 0x80070424 comes up. First few attempts to fix it haven't worked.
