3 reasons:

3. They know that they never had a chance to compete against Sony if it comes down to buillding a gaming machine.

I dont count FFXV because I dont believe it will be released 2015 in west at least, but if I did it would be number 2.

Controller, because the genres I like more are played better on them, but KB/M for rt strategy games (LOL of course).

Yeah, Im sure Sony is crying their eyes out because of 2014, lolygon.

MS had the chance at the beginning of the gen to put out some exclusives when Sony is at their weakest, because they dont drop support for the last 4 years unlike MS and Nintendo, but that did not happen.

From now on it will always be PS4>>>WiiU>>>Xbone.

You dont have to be a fanboy to see certain franchises as PS franchises. For Tomb Raider it was the case that a lot more people played them first of PS systems. Not in my case btw. I played the first ones on PC.
