the HD-DVD vs. BD actually has less to do with PS3 vs 360 than people are ranting about. PS3 comes WITH a BD player. You have to spend the same amount on your 360 to get it to play an HD-DVD. that's why BD is outselling HD-DVD.

Also, it's very true that most people don't own TV's that support 1080p. But if you stay up to date you would notice that all broacasting is going to switch to HD within the next few years because the United States gov't OK'd it. And that's a fact. So if you go and buy a TV in the next year, I reccomend not getting a standard def. You'll be pissed very soon.

Team Ninja hasn't given anything away yet. It's silly to try and predict. I'm not super impressed with the PS3 screens, but then again at least they aren't photoshopping the crap out of thier stuff as a lot of devs do. I'm going to wait and see the final version instead of trying to pretend I know what I'm talking about and looking like an idiot when a beautiful (or ugly) game comes out.

My favorite part? Well, Microsofts viral marketing scheme will certainly post on this very topic. Viral marketing should be banned, along with all the idiots who actually listen to them. Most of what you hear and read about both systems is complete garbage. Credible sources, as in people arguing valid points, need only apply.

Resistance is amazing. Excellent online. Great single player. Fun co-op. It's the best game on the console right now, and I've had it since November and I still play it very regularly.

yeah, Sony said you'll be able to. Just a matter of time. They seem to add one promised feature at a time via the updates.

It's been quite clear that MGS4 is going to be made for PS3 technology and that the only other console Kojima is going to support is the Wii (snake appears in the next Smash Bros). To say that Kojima, who sells 2x as many games in Japan, would support a console that sells for dirt in Japan is ridiculous.

Not to mention the fact that Kojima likes innovation. I don't even need to elaborate on that.

And earlier in this post someone says it's 'ridiculous that a 50gig BD would fill up'. That's a ridiculous statement. Clearly you know nothing about devlopment, technology, or how much 360 games get compressed just to fit inside one disc. Why do you think Gears of War was so short?

Lair is made by factor five. I'm guessing it'll score over a 9.

I'd say Gears of War is the only 9+ on the 360 right now and that came out last winter... which is when MGS4 is coming on P3. Pretty much the same time line for a killer app to appear. That's if Lair or Heavenly sword don't end up excellent, which it's looking like they might.

Alright, here's my position on this: did DMC exist before Playstation 2? Did Onimusha exist before PS2? Lair is new. Heavenly Sword is new. These games are the future, DMC and Onimu are the past. Sony in launching the Playstation 3 said specifically that they didn't want to build their platform on all existing series, but rather wanted to create it as a new entity with a new identity. Do you guys not remember when Tomb Raider went multi? or when Crash Bandicoot went multi? These things didn't kill the PS2, it WON the console 'war'. I'm just saying that you must wait and see. Half the promised features haven't even appeared on the PS3 yet!!! Gamers are too stuck in the sequel, when it's the original game for every console that sells the system a lot of times. Halo anybody?

Oh! And as long as 360 fanboys are claiming that everything under the Sony umbrella is going to the 360, how about I just throw this tidbit in there: Halo 3 = final Halo. Why? Because at thier last press confrence Bungie announced to the public that they didn't like Microsoft's way of running things... after a contract runs out, six months after that day the owner of the intellectual property (currently Bungie) can release it on ANYTHING THEY WANT! Not saying it's a fact, but hey as long as guys are claiming that MGS might move to X360, might as well throw it out there.

Other than USB, you can also use Bluetooth keyboard and mouse setups.

I'll try and actually answer some of your questions.

1. Playstation Network works similar to Xbox Live but doesn't have as many features yet, though Sony has announced a lot of plans for it and there are regular updates. You get a name there's photo chat, text chat, video chat, friends lists, online store, internet browser, and unified online ranking for any game wanting to use it. It works well, fluidly and I've had few problems.

2. RFOM is great online, has online ranks which you get by playing ranked matches and the higher your rank gets the more goodies you get for customizing your character. There are Clans, you can create a party so that you play a ranked match with friends or clan members, integrated voice chat including the ability to create a 'party' of people who can hear your voice, and DM, TDM, Breach, CTF, and a couple others (these are most notable) the multiplayer maps all have 4 sizes (except for a few) and max out at 40 players. It also has co-op campaign and 4 player split screen.

3. The game is quite frantic, but once you get your grips with it it's very fun. I reccomend smaller games when you first start playing (like 8-16 players) bc you can get your bearings easier. The weapons are top notch as the game was designed by the Ratchet and Clank crew, you'll have a lot of fun mastering every weapon as they are all incredibly unique.
