[QUOTE="themountaindew"][QUOTE="clubsammich91"] Yes, why do you ask? Anyone who throws out science in favor of any fairytale is a dummy.Science is the fairytale. How? Scientist have a theory and they experiment and find information and evidence to prove or disprove said theory. It's called the Scientific method, how is it a fairytale? Science says, basically, that the Earth was formed over millions of years and humans transformed and other bullcrap, i mean thats like saying a hurricane blew through a scrapyard and made a Boeing 747.clubsammich91

But why? If everyone believed in fairies and magic and walking on stuff thats not supposed to be walked on and making more of **** wouldn't you think them wrong? Yes, why do you ask? Anyone who throws out science in favor of any fairytale is a dummy. Science is the fairytale.[QUOTE="themountaindew"][QUOTE="GHlegend77"] Well, there you go. Having a belief is one thing, but saying a book has all the answers and everyone else is wrong is just dumb.clubsammich91
 Probably older than you. No The Cure is not goth. They were one of the bands that initially created the sound that came to be called goth...But calling The Cure goth means one hasn't heard their entire library. And there is the fact that they by no means consider themselves goth. Korn by the way is numetal.[QUOTE="wintermute0"]
you seriously want to get into this with me? seriously? The Cure are an 80s goth band, along with Siouxsie & the Banshees, Bahaus, and many more. Goth does not equal bands like Korn. How old are you?
AND ALSO. MUSIC DIRECTLY CORRELATES TO YOUR FAITHFULNESS IN GOD. YOU CAN'T LISTEN TO 80s GOTH AND BELIEVE IN GOD. IT'S NOT POSSIBLE.

I'm sensing you haven't listened to 80's goth since there is nothing anti God in the music. Goth combines dark, often keyboard-heavy music with introspective and depressing lyrics....to paraphrase the defintion. I see nothing in that definition....nor have I heard it in 80's music where the two are mutually exclusive. Are you sure you want to get into this with me?
I dont know what you guys are talking about, but, just from the picture, im gunna say that this...uh...The Cure, yeah, God doesn't like them.[QUOTE="themountaindew"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]The Bible is not meant literally in regard to time. It's more symbolic....and science seems to date the world much older.clubsammich91I know people say this but its just not true. The bible is the literal transcription of Gods actions onto paper. All science can be explained with the bible. Well, there you go. Having a belief is one thing, but saying a book has all the answers and everyone else is wrong is just dumb. But why? If everyone believed in fairies and magic and walking on stuff thats not supposed to be walked on and making more of **** wouldn't you think them wrong?
This is true..... Why is that true, i know that GS, especially here in OT, have a pretty intelligent user base, and I frequent it often to solve my moral quandaries.[QUOTE="STurn21"]If you actually have read the Bible, and you take it as literally as you claim, you would not be asking people on a video game site why killing is wrong.

When God created Earth and the heavens, he created the light from the stars already in transit to earth. How do you explain the light from galaxies and such that are millions of light years away?
cain006
That proves nothing. Just because I believe the bible doesn't mean I can't understand it. Youre done.Come on people.
22 year old philosophy student who is a creationist who takes the Bible literally who can't figure out why killing is wrong?
Thread. Over.

There were no dinosaurs. The bible says that there were these huge beasts, but they were nowhere near the size of the dinosaurs. My preacher says, that in all probability, either (a) the scientists put the skeletons together wrong or (b) the skeletons are traps laid by satan.[QUOTE="themountaindew"][QUOTE="Pixel-Pirate"]
You....you believe we coexisted with dinosaurs?
wintermute0
For someone who claims to be a creationist, you're pretty bad at it. GOD planted the dinosaur bones to test our faith, not the Devil. The Devil's not that smart.
Obviously, you haven't read the bible, wintermute. It says explicitly that "God does not test our faith."[QUOTE="themountaindew"]excuse me, 6000 years...and one week.Pixel-Pirate
