Here is the graphics card I want:

Here is my current mobo:

So would I be able to put this graphics card in my rig? I would like to know soon because I really REEHEHEALLY want to upgrade soon.

Thanks for the help.

For some strange reason I can go across the hall in my house and plug any of the 3 microphones i have into my brothers computer and they work perfectly. His computer runs windows xp. When i try it on my computer with vista.....nothing, no sound is recorded. This is kind of wierd because when i configure my sound next to the microphone icon ill see a bar and it moves up and down according to me making sound....so the microphone is picking up sound its just not doing anything with it. Anyone else having troubles like these?

I am a little confused about an OEM operating system. I just found out I ordered an OEM version of vista and I was just wondering if this will present a problem down the road? I saw a thread a while back but I couldnt find it and the people that posted in it said that if you replace even the harddrive the OS wont boot up without buying a whole new OS. Is this true. I would just like someone to clarify this for me

I am days from ordering my new computer parts and start building but before I do that I was wondering if I need any extra cooling other then what will come with the parts.

Here is my case it looks like it will provide good air flow. Ill also be adding another 120mm case fan to the side of that.

I'm not sure on how good the stock cooler is for the C2Q 6600 so will I be needing to purchase a cooler on my own?

I would appreciate any help I can get on this. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask.

I was just wondering if upgrading a processor was the same as upgrading motherboards. I know that once an OS is installed on a motherboard you need to buy another OS disk if you plan to install a new motherboard is it the same for processors?

P.S. With the new ture quadcores coming out in the next couple of months will they be using the same socket type (LGA 775)?

I am going to be buying a new gaming rig soon and I just want to make sure I dont buy something that is outdated next month. I almost bought a 8800GTX since I saw that it was the best for some time but isnt it time for the 9900 series to be coming out soon?

If the 9900 series is about to open up I will wait for that to happen and I was also wondering about the "true quadcores" I kept hearing they are coming soon but I never got a date on when that would happen.

Im looking to buy an HDTV for movies/xbox360 and the hd experience but I also want the tv to act as a good monitor. Im going to have it wall mounted in my room and I just don't know that much about HDTVs to really decide on my own. Im thinking about 1080p because im pretty sure thats the highest resolution a TV can go.......right? So can anyone recommend me some TVs that are out there. I am looking for something UNDER 2,500. Thanks in advanced

PS: bigger is better :) im going for the biggest screen I can get right now, but I also want a good picture I dont want to sacrifice clarity/sharpness for size.
