@fig56: played it for two matches and dominated... But found no joy or interest in it, my first thought was halo 3 since that's the last halo I played.
It doesn't feel like a doom game to me, I was a kid when the originals came out. Doom said it all.. "DOOM- death, destruction, or some other terrible fate." You felt like you could die if you made any major mistakes, this doom makes me feel like I'm a force of nature, not some human clinging to life. This MP played like an arcade shooter. Maybe I got too used to siege and arma 3, but I found it all too easy.

I would hope the single player has that dark ominous feel that makes Doom "DOOM" but I don't have my hopes up, fallout 4 is a clear sign of the new bethesda. This is my personal opinion on the matter.
