yes,i've noticed this with my bros onyx(don't tell him hes going to say:my ds is better and yours not =P)

and you could mind to try this(i think is truth):put the sound at max of both ds and then try to hear if the onyx has better sound. i've tried with animal crossing on both and the onyx is better, but this is what i think so don't blame me for sayeng this;)
