[QUOTE="tautitan123"]Well XP looks like it was drawn by a child with too many coloured pencils to hand. Vista was and still is a great leap forward over XP in terms of useability and features. Windows 7 kicks the crap out of both XP and Vista even though it is still in beta and those looking forward to using that 7 year old printer will be shocked to learn that it probably won't have proper drivers in Windows 7 either unless they weave some magic into their compatibility settings. Please let XP die. The only reason it seems easier is because you are used to using it and have heard bad things about Vista.WhiteSnake5000First of all, I don't even use the Fisher price theme, I use classic. And I even used it when I had Vista for awhile. I don't care about pretty task bars and windows. And it's not the Drivers, I've had no problems with Vista and getting my hardware to work with it. As for usability and features, it all depends on what you do. I just play games, surf the internet, listen to music, use xfire, and yeah... That's about it. As for directx10, I don't see the big deal in it, even Crysis in DX9 looks pretty much identical on Very High settings to DX10 Very High. And the few games that used DX10 were DX9 but used DX10 features, and still ended up not looking that much better and performing worse. And Vista is just as easy to use as Windows XP, although slightly re-arranged and annoying until you disable UAC. But yeah, I don't know what you mean by let XP die. I'll keep using it because it still works, I don't have to buy a new OS yet to play any new games, and well like I said the performance in my games is still a bit better in XP. I'll keep using it until Windows 7 is the norm the same way I used Windows 98 until Windows XP was. Well it seems that some people do care how "pretty" objects are on the Desktop, ala OSX. Clearly Microsoft is not catering to just you...

Thats not the case at all... You clearly think that a new Windows OS should only be released every decade while other OS release new OSs every 1~3 years. Also you seem to think that Microsoft had a full Idea what Windows 7 was supposed to be like prior to releasing Vista. But you forget that most of the changes in Windows 7 was a direct response to Vista's supposed failings.Well either way I find this ridicoulus.. I mean.. How long did we have XP until Vista came out??
They should have delayed vista and done what they are doing to 7 right now..
I don't know.. I'm kind of annoyed by this..

Currently I'm using a 22" Samsung for my PC. I need a new LCD for PC and TV use, preferably attached at the same time same time. I also need specific ports to connect to my audio reciever and my HD DVR Box.
The Features I need are:
1. Optical Audio Out or Coaxial Audio Out
2. DVI Port
3. HDMI Port(Favored) or Componate ports
3. 26" or higher size
4. Can be controlled through a remote
5. Able to switch between ports remotly would be great also
6. Is also $500 or less
I have only been able to find this so far: SAMSUNG TOC T260HD Rose Black 26"

[QUOTE="Homiegesus"][QUOTE="Pengu-X"]I believe it would be CPU power but not 100% :Dferret-gamerI was thinking it may have something to do with the processor. If the graphics card had no bearing on whether or not video would transfer and translate quicker then im gonna assume the only real purpose for a good graphics card is for gaming, am i right? good grapha cards are for than just gaming. The new adobe products make a lot of use of th gfx, like photoshop cs4, and video editing.
Unfortunatly, they still mainly use the CPU. Infact the more cores/threads the better.
I should hope seven will be A LOT better then VistaChris_53
What are you expecting? If you can't run Vista well now, do you think you be able to run Win7?
You mean you bought a SATA/IDE - to - USB 2.0 converter device, but your not able to see it? Maybe your not giving appropriate power to the HDDs. How does the device provide power to the HDDs?Hey. I recent bought S-ATA & IDE USB 2.0 so I can transfer work off my old pc to the laptop which I believed would saved me so much hassle but no. When I installed and plugged the cables and the old HDD to the laptop nothing came up..... Although it recognised the device it cant seem to open it or nothg appears in "My Computer" to open into. I have installed the drivers, checked in on Device manager but still it thwarts me. Sent a few emails but only recieved automated replies.
Any advice and help would me much apprecated
