Ugh, this is sad news. I bought the game at launch and just started getting into it again after being away for a few years (two of which I schmuckishly paid for before finally cancelling my sub). The recent "shark week" parody had me believing that there was still a lot of life left in the game and I was looking forward to the Halloween event. Still the best veteran reward system of any MMO (Blizzard should try that sometime). So long, Paragon City! I shall miss yoooooooooooooou!
I'm glad I was able to watch this platform jumping nonsense tonight. "Let's make this part like a 1987 side scroller in 3D! Brilliant!" Looking like a frustrating nightmare so far (that specific portion, I mean).
I also bought NFL 2K5, then broke down and bought Madden '08 when it hit the bargain bin. The difference was huge. By far the best NFL game I ever played and I haven't bought one since. I might finally get this year's version for the PS3 because I know it will feel like a huge upgrade to me. I think that's the way to do it. I wish EA would only release new editions every three years or so and just sell downloadable roster updates in between for $10. It would give them enough time to make big changes instead of always running up against these crazy deadlines.
Oh Em Gee it's soooo true to the comics! I always knew The Flash could hand Superman's ass to him in a fistfight. The gameplay looks almost (and I mean almost!) as cool as the brilliant title! Just rolls off the tongue and instantly makes people think of their favorite DC characters. I shall pre-order two just in case I damage the first copy in all the excitement.
@Kevin-V I must have been confused when you repeatedly prevented a player from being able to lead zombies into the church, which you eventually realized when they complained. So sorry, thanks for the enlightenment. Please continue to run around slamming on that trigger button. You do it well.
Watching the vid from the first day of livestream and it's driving me nuts how often Kevin butts in and steals kills away from other players. Can't stand that when I'm playing an MMOG. You're not "helping", pal! Take care of your own business.
A lot of critics whine about games that feature Superman because he's weakened into a sissy to make it more challenging. Mr. McShea whines because missiles are bouncing off of him the way they're supposed to. Much make does doesn't sense, that it?
@Myxisbird You realize that there is a MMORPG out right now called The Old Republic, right? And that they are constantly updating and expanding it? So you're saying that you want more of what there's currently more than enough of. Sense make none do you no how see you do?
