The 360 will still come out on top sales wise for 2008 and 2009. Unless Sony decides to drop the PS3 to a starting point of $199.

As for games i would still rather Fable 2, Gears 2, L4D, and Banjo Kazooie than MGS 4, LBP, and R2. So for me 2008 is still the year for the 360.

It's too early to tell what 2009 will bring as alot of games still need to be announced for that year.

No there not. Because they might have already gotten RROD a couple of times therefore giving them a refurbished console. And your warranty doesn't get extended another 3 years after you get that refurbished one.

Anyways i'm good til October 2009.

I think M$ will launch a new console in 2012. This forcing Sony to release their next console 2013 2014.

OR

Sony could jump the gun this time and release thier next console 2011/2012 followed shortly after by the next M$ console.

I'm leaning more toward the first one though.

Their both suppose to be awesome. I chose to get Fable 2 first just because i liked the first one alot. So really you should get both as for which one to get first i guess Fallout 3 because it will last you longer i think, until you can get Fable 2.

Just to list some future games for the 360

Halo Wars, Halo 3 Recon, Star Ocean 4, Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell Conviction (If it does ever end up coming out) Forza 3. And just for this holiday season their is Left for Dead, Gears 2, Banjo Kazooie, The Last Remenant (Which is timed Exclusive)

And games that are already out Fable 2, Fallout 3 (Suppose to be better for 360) Halo 3, Forza 2, Gears 1, Mass Effect.
