To be honest, if you have HDTV, it's really worth it. The Blu-ray player really come in handy (once you seen movies in HD, it's hard to come back to DVD)

If you don't have HDTV yet, my advice is save up on it first.
But really it's a good investment and it's worth it cause PS3 is not only a game console but also an entertainment system.

[QUOTE="tranhgiang"][QUOTE="Buff-McBlumpkin"]

LBP is nothing like YouTube apart from allowing users to "share" things.

Terrible analogy.

Buff-McBlumpkin

What make YouTube feature different from LBP ?

Is this an honest question?

YouTube is an internet hub where users share videos.

LBP is a customizable platformer with an integrated level editor. It allows you to share your created levels.

Apart from the "Share" factor they have absolutely nothing in common.

I'm asking about "feature", not the technical aspect.

YouTuber share their videos, LBP gamers share their games level.
Comment, Friend List, profile.
Ladder system.
LBP is just not about "share". It's about community where you can get feedbacks, comments on the thing that you made, making friends, fool around together which is what the whole  Web 2.0 is about.

If you try to point out how it is technical different and how "videos" is not the same as "user created level" then well, you missed the whole point of Web 2.0

it comes out on blu-ray. thus it will be 60$ just like any other ps3 game. unless there is a price cut *crosses fingers*

the demo will be free though

predator1015

No it will come out on PSN first, then come out on Blu-ray later.

This is done so the Blu-ray version will come bundled with best user-created maps (aim more toward people that don't have their PS3 connected yet I guess).

PS3 have everything from Kiddy -> Mature. That's the points. Sony don't just focus on what your wife think.

Making a game required some degree of creativity. To enjoy a game also require any gamer a sense of taste. So game is a piece of art.

But game is just like a picture, there are people who paint for money (marketing banner you see every day), for fun (kid squibble on scrap paper) or for art (insert people like Davinci here). Same for games.

Video games aren't art. Art cannot be entertainment. ninjiijitsu

Music begs you to differ. There is no definition for art btw.

Best on PC, I think Hermits will jumps over this just to piss Lemm off. Not like they're really excited to be able to play this game.

[QUOTE="tape990"]

Will the PC guys be able to handle active reload, along with the one-button-does-it-all action of the title?

Able to handle active reload ?? You're kidding me right ? Last time I check some "PC guys" are playing games at over 300APM (Actions per Minute)

By the way, one-button-does-it-all, that's because they are running out of button on the Xbox controller, not much of a problem for keyboard.

At least no more aim assist ^^
