i hope i can see their downfall someday. ill be the first person lol at them.HanabieCall me crazy, but I would rather see them put out amazing titles and make a come back. Watching the downfall of a once great RPG company wont do anything good for me as a gamer. Also lets try to put this in perspective here. Square/SE has always put out a ton of garbage titles, yet they make up for it with there big hitters. Even back in the SNES/PS1 golden age of Square they were like this. We havent even seen a big title from them this gen, so I think its a little early to jump the gun. I honestly think FFXIII will be great. X was great, most skipped on XI because it was an MMO, and XII had the worst internal problems a dev company could have and still managed to turn out good. XIII isnt having these massive internal problems and is in good hands with most of the FFX staff working on the project. LR is the only SE developed rpg that has come out so far this gen. IU wasnt developed by SE. As for the main topic, yeah its BS. They claim to not be playing favorites, but it sure seems like they are.

The only time I tried getting into the MGO store, I got an erroe message saying something like if I needed to create a new account to access the store or something like that (can't remember what it was exactly)... after that I was like "you kidding me?? do I need to do something else after creating this stupid Konami Id, Game Id... now Store Id??' **** it!!"
That was the day I decided not to play MGO anymore.
Ummm.....you use your Konami ID to access the store. There is no store specific ID. So if you decided to quit playing simply because you couldnt manage to input the ID you had already made thats pretty lame.Take a number wait like the rest of us.
Really though, if you dont have enough reason to buy a PS3 now then I dont see this game making a big difference. Its the most reliable hardware, PSN is free and besides some communications features, the actual gameplay experience online is just as good if not better than other online services due to a lot of games having dedicated servers, the library is great and only getting better, and the out of the box functionality trumps everything else.
Im enjoying all consoles this gen, but this year the PS3 was the best imo. If you dont want one by now, then you probably shouldnt just pick it up for the next Team Ico game, no matter how amazing it is.
[QUOTE="americahellyeah"]Kingdom Hearts is barely and RPG... and so if Fallout 3Scianix-BlackSo... what do you consider an RPG? Well I gotta agree KH isnt really an RPG, but its still fun. Fallout 3 is an RPG, just as Oblivion is (some would argue it isnt due to lvl scaled loot/enemies), but they both share shallow, boring combat and can be considered RPGs for noobs, or free roam FPS games that hide behind stats to act as RPGs. Still not as noobish as the Fable games though. Most would agree Morrowind was the last Bethesda game that truly embraced RPG staples and wasnt catering to the casual. PS: Dont flame me for those comments, tbh I dont even fully agree with them myself, but those do seem to be the usual opinions among RPG fanatics.
This Game is offically old Phantasy Star.dreman999Exactly what I was thinking. As soon as I saw the scans memories of Phantasy Star IV came rushing back. The artistic direction is shamefully similar.
I think EA has lost a lot of credibility, as it just isn't what it use to be.
EA has been putting out more quality lately than they have in years. If anything they have been redeaming themselves, not losing credibility.:?
I dont hate Ubisoft by any means, but I think a lot of there lack luster lazy ports along with supporting 360 with exclusives like Splinter Cell 4 gives them a bad name amongst PS3 owners.
Besides that I think they're just a decent developer. Not great, not bad, just decent. They have a couple of great titles, a whole slew of average titles and a few garbage titles.
QFT : "Hashimoto: Blu-Ray's additional storage capacity doesn't matter"
let the damage control begin!

Quoting out of context FTW! Amazing how much you can change the meaning of someones words simply by leaving off the last few words of a sentence, eh buddy?
Kikizo: Has the expanded capacity of the Blu-way format had any effect on the game's presentation?
Hashimoto: Blu-Ray's additional storage capacity doesn't matter as much as the strength of the hardware itself. In the past, we could only create really high-quality cinematics as prerendered CG. But now, we can move that high-quality CG into realtime. We can portray large monsters and expansive, lush environments. So, the hardware is definitely a key element in the progression of the presentation quality.
BR as storage medium is great, but of course it wont make a difference to a games overall presentation. Even if PS1s would have had BR drives back in the day it wouldnt have made a difference in presentation since the hardware is what dictates the potential for visual presentation.
"Gameplay-wise, there's not much we can disclose at the moment... except that, similar to Final Fantasy XII, there's going to be a field with monsters roaming on there, which the character can interact with, and you can pursue or avoid them on the field. When you touch them, it will transition into a battle sequence. We can't say how many members will be in the party, but we will definitely have the traditional party element incorporated into the battles. " YES!!!! Thank GOD! I was worried we would go back to random battles and the ancient Turn based because too many kids whined about FFXII's battle system...my anticipation for Just went up by even more. I dont' care if it's not EXACTLY like 12's but to know the fact that there is no random battles is great news.Kratos_OMEGAFF games quit being turn based back in 1991. FFXIIs battle system is the same old ATB system we have been playing with for years, the only difference being that we had gambits instead of manually inputing commands. So if you think that the old FF battle systems are ancient turn based then I suppose you dont like any of the main series FFs including XII. BTW, XIII is also going back to manual input ATB. I enjoyed random battles over the years, but I also didnt mind the on screen enemies in XII. Im pretty sure I will like XIIIs approach the best though. It reminds me of Chrono Trigger.
