Having better communication features doesnt make an online service more "hardcore"
I know this is SW, but in the real world people are vegin out on PSN just as they are on LIVE. Paying for LIVE does not make a gamer more hardcore and its not as if PSN users arent getting a quality gameplay experience as well. If the money spent on LIVE guaranteed dedicated servers for every game then things would be different, but as things are now, the quality of online play is on even ground.
As for the argument of libraries, once again, even ground. The ratio of harcore games to casual are roughly the same on each. They are like sister consoles and each one edges out the other in different respects, but at the end of the day its about even.
That said, I would look at like this in terms of most hardcore.
PC>>>360=PS3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wii
Speaking of Appeal, a free online service is better for a casual core than a paid online service. There it went.......right over his head. Anyways dude, Im sorry, but when people go to purchase a 360 I doubt theyre actually saying "damn man I gotta get this 360 cause LIVE costs 50 bucks a year and that makes me hardcore!" I know that wasnt my train of thought at least. I wanted it for the games and Im sure others would agree. Both systems aim for the same market so Im really not sure why you even made such a pointless thread. If Sony decides to make PSN $100 a year does that make PSN players twice as hardcore. This thread is silly as is your reasoning.
