Does anyone actually KNOW why they raised the price? I have heard about inflation but that doesn't make sense as it costs nothing to really run Live (it's all p2p). I think it may have something to do with kinect and bringing in a new casual market who are unaware of the prior price.

I heard they raised the price because Activision wanted to charge people to play CoD online, but Microsoft didn't want that to happen..so they raised the price of Live and a % goes to Activision. No joke either..
Are you serious? If that's true than that is by far the dirtiest, backroom deal in the video game industries history.
Activision is the devil when it comes to video games..I wish more people would realize this and stop supporting them :)

See the list in my post, looks better than that. Red Orchestra, DoTa 2, Torchlight 2, Diablo 3 and Shogun 2 are the only worth-mentioning games in the list.
There are also lots of gaming coming out that play a ton better on the PC than on consoles, like Dragon Age/Mass Effect/Elder Scrolls/Any Valve game..
I mean honestly playing Elder Scrolls on console over PC I'd shoot myself in the head.
