Well it is pretty bad... Women openly insult men on TV, and people laugh, but if a man says something sexist to a woman, you hear gasps, and people frown. There are adverts on TV over here advertising women's car insurance, because 'women are the safest drivers'. I'm all for women having equal rights and treatment to men, but it should be just that.. equal.cjek

Ok. Well do you want it to work? Do you really? If things are looking bad it'll take work. And you've got to be prepared to give it. If you are, then like I said, talk to her, take her out. Do little romantic things and bring back the spark. If you're not that interested then break up with her. Even if you're scared to do it, just do because it will be better in the long run for both of you.

Wow calm down. Unlike most guys on here, I don't just throw away relationships - I work with them and THEN see about breaking up. I'm just giving the poor guy a chance with his girlfriend, unlike most of the advice on here which is 'break up with her now'. He could be mistaken. She could be depressed. I'm just saying for him to talk things through with her and see about sorting things out before going and breaking up with her.

I've worked at some relationships and they really paid off. Like the other day things with Braindead_hero were getting boring so I talked to him about it and things are great now. You don't see me just dumping them at the first hurdle.

I am calm I am making sure it burns into his head that getting advice from women is a bad idea. The only reason everybody is saying to break up is because it seems like he is looking for an excuse to get out when he already has his excuse if he doesnt want to be there. Its like he is scared to just break up with her instead he is waiting to find a reason to point the finger at her and say it her fault it didnt work.

because i think my girlfriend is cheating, and ive tried confronting her about it, but she says shes not.
sometimes i think that maybe i want to think shes cheating so i can just break it off with her

So you're pretty much generalising that all women give bad advice. Wow. Grow up and stop being so sexist. From what he's said since my earlier posts, especially not knowing why they're together then the best thing to do is just break up. But unlike a lot of people here I've talked things through with him and given him suggestions if he wants to try and make things improve. I'm wasn't saying it'd work out. I was saying talk things through and give it a chance.

It's pretty obvious now he isn't interested though...

I haven't really had the problem that you have but both my past relationships lost the spark and I worked hard to keep them going. Instead of staying in I took the guy out, went for picnics, to the movies and did different stuff. I think that if you apply this to your situation (after having a long talk with your girl) then you can show her why she fell in love with you in the first place :)

Ok well you still seem very young so this what I would and you dont have to do it but I have done it. If you are going to try then do it now and get everything out of the way instead of waiting and if you still feel a little like she cheating or you dont want to be with her, then go find a new girlfriend or some girl to hook up with and drop your old girl friend. Its like work, you dont just quit your job unless you have another one lined up.
