I'm enjoying the game so far, but the frame rate issues on the Wii U are god awful. Nintendo really needs to clean this up with a patch if they can. I'm getting stuttering every time I encounter 4 or more enemies in combat.
Months ago an interview with Phil revealed that the console wouldn't be priced beyond what any other console had seen, the most expensive of course being the Playstation 3 $599 model at launch. I'm anticipating a $599 console with Scorpio. Quotes from 3rd party developers all seem to agree that Scorpio feels more like a next-gen console than a half-assed refresh like the PS4 Pro. To me, that signals that the internal hardware is going to be top-notch - as in Ryzen CPU + AMD Vega GPU top notch. I'd expect it to be VR capable for the likes of games such as Fallout 4 VR when it's released (although whether or not Xbox will support the Vive is a different story), and certainly 4k/30fps + HDR capable.
Put it this way, if Scorpio is 4-5 times as powerful as the X1 S, then it's certainly a bargain at 2 times the price.
@samrvdman: I like the art palette, but I agree, it's definitely lacking in the visual department. All of the video clips and screenshots I've seen so far have horrific aliasing. And the lack of HDR is really, really disappointing. Nintendo should have at least attempted to bring the graphics on par with other cell-shaded games like Borderlands 2 - which came out in 2012...
Well, my Skylake 6700k is still holding it's own for all the games I'm running on max settings at 2k 144hz. I may be more inclined to pick up a new AMD CPU if it's something completely outrageous - like 24 cores and 48 threads. Might be a while though.
