@Adavanter @unfreak-believ @R3FURBISHED You're certainly entitled to your opinion - you very much dislike Reach's story, I'm quite the opposite - but everything you said (save for the first paragraph) had nothing to do with my point.
Reach was about a group of soldiers unsuccessfully protecting their planet against an alien invasion, more or less. 4 centers around Chief not only fighting a major threat to the human race (and the series' first real villain), but simultaneously racing against time to save his dying friend/romantic-ish interest. 4 is more melodramatic. That doesn't make it inherently better, or worse, just more melodramatic.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing the game (campaign and PVP, not so much SO) for the first few months, but they pretty much killed the longevity of the game when they butchered custom games. Hell, whenever my friends and I get together to play local Halo matches, we still put in Reach.
I read somewhere else that there were shots exchanged between the cops and the 'suspects'. I'm not positive it happened, but it would justify the police to chase the men down.
(I believe I read a comment or two criticizing the police for going after them)
I get that different reviewers have different tastes, buy why wouldn't you have the same person review both? That way, you can get a feel for how the game feels on the 360/whatever AND how it compares to the original 3DS release. The review would be more informative to newcomers to the title and to those who have played the 3DS version, and GameSpot wouldn't sound like it's contradicting itself. But.. I guess that just makes too much sense.
@Hvac0120 I'm fairly sure I read that the licensing would work the same as it did on the 360. That is, for any given item purchased/activated, the license goes on the original Xbox, where any profile using that Xbox can access it. It also goes to the account used to purchase/activate the item, and that profile can access it on any Xbox.
Not justifying, as I am absolutely getting the PS4, just clarifying.
You guys are ridiculous. Oh no! GameSpot likes a cheap game that revels in its own absurdity! I feel so betrayed! Jesus, people. They're opinions, don't take them so seriously. Just read the review and see if you like (or dislike) the points they make. If you disagree with their score - OH WELL.
@Stebsis @MajinSquall In all fairness, this is the Metal Gear SOLID Legacy Collection. That technically doesn't include Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Metal Gear Acid. Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel was released as Metal Gear: Ghost Babel in Asia and Japan. Not sure about Portable Ops, though.
EDIT: Darth_Kane's reasoning seems better, but whatever.
