This is something that I wanted to use as an argument for atheism that you should only believe in that which is logical and can be proven. However you need to ignore the only part of your life that makes anything matter which is consciouness which is itself unprovable. If there is any atheist please respond with a counter argument as I would like to use this for arguments. Ayers says it doesn't matter whether or not we can prove such things; I see no reason to delve in it.
