I would have to create a scenario thread at exactly 47:59:59 past zero hour.

He was probably attempting to pet the dog on the head and missed.

"Believe it!" was the most annoying ever, while "Dattebayo" and "-ebayo" are the most outrageously awesome ever.

It's not that he can't be proven wrong, it's the fact the he apparently has no idea what he is talking about.

InEMplease

Then he'd just re-state it to something something ... it seems to be more of a battle of ego than a battle of logic, which does not have value.

Well then, he wins.

Indeed he does.

Trust me, I'm now using sign language. Only one sign though.

InEMplease

I wouldn't debate with him. He doesn't like to refute your argument as much as prove that he is never wrong, there is evidence of this; one such in a thread against a mod, he re-stated his argument several times, making changes in the process, so he couldn't be proved wrong.

I said the words are labels for whatever phenomenon. Do you think the dopamine in your brain is shaped like the word "love"?

InEMplease

The label still describes something specific. And unless you are throwing language out the window totally....it's quite accurate to call THAT SPECIFIC emotion "love". Hence there is no point to arguing over words. They are what they are. Try to communicate without them....

Calling an argument dumb does not do anything to refute the argument.

I would pull the plug out halfway. My mother always told me I wasn't the type of man who could finish what he started.

There was this one time on a school bus. Some girl was using a laptop behind me and I looked over and asked "Can I have your number" and she responded "No way Jose". She totally robbed me of my heart.

FIREMEN TO THE RESCUE: This problem is different. A fireman, while attempting to save a stranded cat, knows that the cat has 50% of jumping either left or right when he grabs at it. However, this is per cat. The chance of him finding 10 cats that jump left in a row is less than 50%.
