If this was a new product, I wouldn't care, but at this point the fans have a certain mental image of Roland. Contradicting that seems misguided. Race aside, I don't see Elba being able to do this character.

Clint Eastwood would have been perfect if he was a bit younger. Viggo Mortensen, like someone else suggested, would probably do well. *Maybe* an artificially aged Christian Bale - that guy is capable of some scary transformations, both physically and in how he behaves on-screen.

@kljohns2: Dialogue will most likely be severely cut down and edited, anyway. Just because of the sheer volume of the books, some things will have to be let go.

@MrFreehuggs: There's no single player, the best you can do here is play the MP survival mode.... solo.

@goodgamesguy: Whenever Early Access ends on PC, probably. I wouldn't hold my breath right now; the character/class roster still isn't full, and there are some serious balancing issues to be worked out. The game feels surprisingly polished, yet still fundamentally incomplete. A few months, at the least.

Unless, of course, Tripwire releases it unfinished, but nobody wants that.
