We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.
Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once. perfect

@Martyr77 @unreal_master How do you know it doesn't add anything? They know if a game was bought New from retail or used. Who's to say it doesn't tell them if a game is bootleg to ban that user?
What if there are email notifications where you can open them to confirm the check? A lot of people have data phones. There could be means of using one to confirm the check in.
What is the big deal? You are all using the internet right now to post on the forums. I could only imagine the check takes just as much. People already watch hours of netflix and play hours of games while online. I bet the % of offline users is smaller compared to the users that have the xbox connected. Similar to the cockpit view in Grid 2. They said 5% of the player based used it in Grid 1 so they didn't focus too much on it. What if of all Xbox 360 never connected was 5% of the 70million what ever they sold. That 5% is a very small number. If they didn't go out of there way to get internet for 360 why would those customers go out of their way for Xbox One?
How much internet could you possibly need do run a check? If you have internet to post on forums then you have internet to run a quick check. Dear Microsoft, I am still buying a Xbox One.
@Acardorin @unreal_master It's coming from a certain kind of person. How much internet could you possibly need do run a check? If you have internet to post on forums then you have internet to run a quick check.
@Gatts1978 Is there more back story? Why would not having internet now be an issue? I some how doubt he cares that much of having internet if he doesn't by now. Just because Xbox one requires this now its an issue for him? What about everything else that requires internet?
