And thinking you got a good price for your outdated hardware is a pure Nintendo-fanboyism. Same thing with yearly hardware update. Its just absurd. And in EU they dont even include the charger. Its pretty funny how Nintendo tries to scam money from people. i love Nintendo really but i can justify their stupid new ideas.
@PillyChickle This was true before but please continue with what came after and you soon see that Nintendo took a U turn and started to sell under power hardware at a high price (sure games are important but hardware is too for better looking games...)
I mean seriously people complain about Vita's price but they are fine paying the high cost for hardware from 5 years back (more or less ).
Vita is damn cheap considering what you get for your money. And it has so much potential.
3DS (which i also have) sucks in comparison. I love some of the games and buy it for the exclusive but its not in the same league as Vita. With more games coming for Vita i think it will start to sell more. i just hate how Nintendo makes half baked console and sell it at that high price. Also they should be ashamed to first sell 3DS and then make a bigger version and sell it even at higher price. They didnt even add second stick to it. I guess they learn from Apple to scam people and add 1 thing at a time. With vita you dont need to buy 1 console each year to get everything you see.
Surely MS/Sony can also have other incomes but as for consoles all 3 make the same loss (atleast at start). Look at 3DS they are still loosing money and just now they said they will break even with the introduction of XL.
The money is in the games and that is why its important to get the thirdparty onboard. Same with accessories. I have 3 controller for my PS3 for instance. Nintendo mentioned the tablet will be pretty expensive so i doubt many families will get more then whats in the box.
@abHS4L88 Just to add one more thing, i'm not all about hardware, games are the most aspect of consoles but good hardware makes for bigger better looking games that in the end makes more fun games, nowdays there are so many great companies around that can make awesome games and giving the tools to make better games just benefit us gamers. I look at Skyrim on my PS3 and compare it to my pc and i understand how much better it can be on pc thanks to superior hardware.
Same with consoles the more power the better the games can be.
That is a big mistake when you consider the long lifespan of a console. I mean 100 dollar more is nothing when you have a console for say 5 years plus.

This means developers will port the games to UE3 or use a subset of UE4 (limited resources) so as i said this will make the development more costly if PS4/720 will support full UE4. But that is not something i'm sure about either at this time so time will tell.
It might be the case AC looks a tiny bit better but then again its not that strange considering the age difference between the hardware (5-6 years). But i'm not sure if it looks all that better when its out. We just have to wait and see. Just compare a pc from 6 years ago and today, its a huge difference in terms of performance....Not saying consoles are pc but since MS uses pretty much same components i think when they choose something like a nvidia 580GTX (in maybe 1 year from now) it will still be lots and lots better then whatever that is in Wii U. Same thing for CPU/Memory .....
