I think there is no best kind. If there is it is any with a variety of styles, so long as each is done well. Like platforming/action in Price of Persia or Driving/shooting in GTA. Or even something like MGS that is pretty much all action but different kinds like stealth, shootouts, sniping, most boss battles are very different. Plus it's combined with good stories and graphics.
Not this generation, as mentioned Sony owns God of War. Possibly in the future on some service for downloading classic games. Depends on what happens with consoles in the future.
There is only one difference between a person who goes to fast food resteraunts regularly and one who goes to gormet resteraunts regularly. The only difference between them is the amount of money they spend to eat food they consider delicious. I wasn't even talking about expensive gourmet restaurants. There are places to get good food for not that much money one of them being cooking for yourself. It is more money than McDonalds but the phrase "you get what you pay for" is appropriate here. McDonalds is inexpensive because it is garbage. I know of places where you can a meal of Indian Curry or authentic Mexican food or many others for $5 to $6.
There is another major difference between gourmet food and fast food. Gourmet food is not terrible for you. Generally it comes with at least a vegetable or two. Also I don't believe anyone really loves McDonalds. I think it is addictive and it is comfort food for many while gourmet food is genuinely loved.
Oh and another difference is the quality food industry doesn't lay havoc on the environment like fast food does.
