but then you'd just spend too much money on food just to make you feel like you used to buying lower quality food.Food_NippleI don't mean to be nitpicky about grammar but I honestly have no idea what you were trying to say there.

Do you have time to read some of the book? because not all of it is centered around Renton. You can check Wikipedia for a breakdown of what chapters are about whom.

Then when you get a break from school read the rest becaue it's a fantastic book.
[QUOTE="vauba_haoly"][QUOTE="thisishowtowin"]As we run out of oil, and prices rise, more money will be dedicated to researching alternatives, which will be found... the effect of oil being phased out probably wont be felt that strongly.CowmanikDo you have any idea how many millions of vehicles and other machines we rely on in the world that run on gas. You don't think the process of replacing all of them will be a big deal. That's assuming we do find alternative energy sources fast enough that are just as cheap which is an assumption you seem to have made. I'll bet you don't have any reason for thinking this other than optimism. People need to accept that we are not immune and start taking these problems seriously or else they really will be problems.
All new cars can run off of Ethanol. Most new cars can run off a blend of Ethanol and Gasoline. In most cases that blend is only %10 Ethanol. There are cars out there that can do higher but there are relatively few of them except in Brazil. Even if all cars could run purely off Ethanol there are problems. Mainly where is all the land going to come from to grow enough crops to supply the whole world's fuel supply.
That is so completely wrong. It's true there are oil reserves in Alaska and some have speculated that there is more left to be discovered. But no one who has any clue has ever claimed there is enough for a few thousand years. Where on earth did you get that from? No proffesionals on the subject say there is even a few hundred years of oil left. As I mentioned before there will be a crisis long before we run out. Also no one from the government is saying these things. Again where on earth did you get that from? The oil reserves in Alaska should be more than enough to last us a few more thousand years. This whole fuel shortage story the govt is wanting to give to us for taxing gas is bulls**t!!!

I'm not saying it's not powerful enough to handle it. It's an issue of resolution or amount of pixels on the screen.[QUOTE="vauba_haoly"][QUOTE="drummer131"]Are you kidding me? The game came out in '93, during the SNES days. The DS kinda mimics N64 quality capabilities. I think it can handle Myst. And if you've seen screenshots or the gameplay vid or two that are out there, you'd see that it definitely works.drummer131
oh, well in that case, wouldn't the fact that it's a much smaller screen than the typical computer screen equate to a much better handle on the amount of pixels?
No the pixels are also bigger meaning they cannot show as much detail.
