@chippiez @darkelf83 It's not really the same game at all. Story, characters and world yes, but the gameplay on the PC is very clunky and a lot of people are disappointed. I too am interested in the PC review from GS. You are right. No one owes us this but it would be nice, was promised and is necessary. I don't think I would have paid more than $20 for this had I known the tactical combat would be so messed up. I'm not sure I would have bought the game at all. Although, I am waiting until I have put a bit more time into it to completely condemn the game. PC score is probably a 7.0, IMO.
@Two_Smoke91 It seems like all the games that are designed to be pirate games fall short and are mediocre at best. It's funny that a game like this actually does a good job with it.
As others have said, it seems like it's just an expansion of AC3. Either way, the ship battles were actually my favorite part of AC3. I've never even really been big on this series and had not planned to play the next one. (I got AC3 free with a hardware upgrade.) I might play this game though just because I really did enjoy sailing the ship around and blasting boats out of the water. We'll see, it depends on what other games I'm playing at the time.
I haven't played any of these games. So, I understand it that this is the 3rd game in the series. Right? This game looks very beautiful and I will keep an eye out for it. Is it worth it to go back and play the first 2 games though? Or maybe just the Dreamfall game?
@Beardof_Zeus456 I think you should play it, as decisions you make carry over and you will have a better grasp of the story, which is great. As others have mentioned, it is quite a bit less polished than 2 and the combat does get a bit repetitive after a while. However, it is worth playing through it. I still enjoyed the game a lot and it will make you appreciate the rest of the series that much more.
