From what I've seen, they can play some non-system-intensive games, just like a lot of other laptops.

Yes, but for the same price or less depending on which model you get, an m11x, which has the capability to switch from 8+ hours of battery life to gaming ANY current game *including crysis,* is a much better buy.
or even better you could get something not alienware so you won't have to pay for 60% brand and 40% computer.

In this particular case, the program is getting put into "OFFLINE" mode, hence shouldn't be able to see online servers and/or join any online games as the account would be seen as 'in-use' by the 2nd machine. that doesn't change the fact that you're not supposed to share accounts.
He's sharing the account with himself. As far as I understand he has two computers at his house.
Well all unexpected I got Mafia 2 as a gift from a friend today. So I just finished downloading and ran the first time setup etc. however the game didn't start at all according to steam it did, but after 3 seconds my status was back to online, now I tried again and again all the times it was "Installing msiexec.exe" I've already tried verifying game cache integrity, didn't help at all. The demo worked fine for me when I played it some time ago, any suggestions?
It's avaliable now if you're on the edge or just want to try it out. You need WotLK before you can use the cataclysm trial. Just go to your battle.net account, log in, click on your wow account and choose the 10 day trial, you might want to install the client first, the install is quite large. I know I'm doing it for sure.
