HL2:DM, Portal: The First Slice and Portal from when it was free won't work with mods.

You've neglected to mention the consumption of all available free time, reduction of personal relationships that are not related to WoW, and buttocks that ultimately will require a more spacious chair. EMEvilmeanie
Not everyone lacks self control.
Needs way more options, I would vote for Portal 2, but since it wasn't there - Mass Effect 3
i really hope that it isnt a MMO.

Not going to be an MMO.
Create a new category on your steam library like "Don't install" for example, put said game there, close the category box - problem semi-solved.
And suddenly I have interest in this game, I hated the old engine, Broken anmations, bad optimization and bugs, bugs everywhere.
I remember trying to figure how to do this ages ago, found it on a website and saved the info in a txt. Can be done with itunes.
Load and launch the iTunes player on your desktop and open your .XWB file on the player.
Select "Preferences" and "Import Settings" from the "Edit" menu
Select "Import Using: WAV Encoder" in the drop-down menu and click "OK."
Right-click on your .WAV file in your library and select "Create WAV Version." This will load the new converted version of your file in your library, below the original .XWB file.
^ not really, if you change MPQ it only effects your game, they wouldn't use transparent textures, rather other things such as sprites or effects enabling people to see the enemy players better and such like through walls or terrains. You putting transparent textures on your character only makes you see your character invisible, everyone else will see your character just fine.

That's the point, in PvP for example you could change certain textures so you could see through walls. Huge advantage.
no there's not, if you mess around with MPQ files you're likely to get banned, people would be able to use transparent textures for their advantage if it was allowed.
Thanks for that list! One question: Where is a good website to download mods, or at least to find them? I'd want to try mods for Morrowind and Diablo, particularly. I already know where to find Total War mods. thanks!thesmiter
