I just noticed that LOTRO is on D2D's sale thing for yesterday and today... I just had a quick question... It says it is the VIP starter pack... Is this the actual game or some promotional thing?

Also, it says it includes 30 days of VIP access and 1000 turbine points... What are those?

Also, does it include everything I need? Or is it like WoW where buying the vanilla game alone means you have no one to play with because everyone is on expansion content...?

I am thinking about StarCraft. I was also thinking about Battlefield bad company 2 and Modern warfare 2, but here is the thing with that. I go in those games and I get schooled! lol I played team fortress 2. At first I thought the game was easy, but then I just kept getting killed. Its so hard to start off as a noob in those games when I am going up against people like you with 300+ hours of experience. Does not make for much of a fun experience. I did that in Dirt 2. If you're not doing well in TF2 I'dd suggest you stay away from Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2 and especially Counter Strike, TF2 is far more newbie friendly.

Maybe you should try LOTRO online? It just went free to play, there are microtransactions but they don't give anything completely overpowered.

Well sadly that's what you get with the most new games.

You should try getting into a multiplayer shooter, TF2 would be a good place to start, that's atleast the game I've put most hours into (308 hours) After TF2 comes Garry's Mod which I've played for 286 hours, but you might need CSS, TF2, Half Life 2 and the Episodes before you're fully able to enjoy it since alot of content comes from there. Third place is taken by Mount and Blade: Warband which I have around 220 hours in (I don't have the steam version so I'm not completely sure) Both the singleplayer and multiplayer is great and when that gets old there's a ton of mods (especially cRPG). My last suggestion would be any RTS you like playing. I'd have to recommend Starcraft II though.

So my brother has the Steam version of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. I advised him to use the Complete mod 2009, but he said that on the Steam forums it was advised not to use mods because they may count as 'cheating' and get you banned from Steam. Is this true? My brother will not go online by the way, only do single player.

Not true at all, besides there isn't even VAC in STALKER so you can't get banned.

Am planning to get the game Borderlands + add ons, since a few friends of mine got it on consoles and they loved it.. How is it on PC, is it worth getting now ?

will i have probs running the game with my PC.. (specs in sig) - i checked already for the recommended specs the game requires but i'd rather have opinions by gamers with similar PC setups :)

I need to be a good gamer. i can't play games very well. I need trainers for every game. even with the trainers , i stuck in missions, like Transformers- 2nd mission Two Thrones- First Boss mission Delta force land warrior- 1st mission X-men official game - Some mission that Ice Man(Bobby) has to freeze towers. Ultimate Spider-Man - Vemon chase Call of Duty- the mission that i have to defend a soldier with a sniper. Please help. how can i play a game if i stuck in mission like this even with a trainer. Just don't even use trainers/cheats, this wont make you better at all.
