Screen size is somewhat disappointing, The game library is hit and miss as well, lacking some the better titles. Namely, Streets Of Rage, Shinobi and Phantasy Star. It also lacks the save-state feature the Sega Classic Collection has.

  • Alex Kidd in High Tech World
  • Alex Kidd in Miracle World
  • Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars
  • Assault City
  • Astro Warrior
  • Aztec Adventure
  • Baku Baku Animal
  • Bomber Raid
  • Columns
  • Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
  • Dragon Crystal
  • Ecco: The Tides of Time
  • Fantasy Zone
  • Fantasy Zone II
  • Gain Ground
  • Global Defense
  • Golden Axe
  • Kung Fu Kid
  • Penguin Land
  • Putt And Putter
  • Quartet
  • Ristar the Shooting Star
  • Snail Maze
  • Sonic Drift 2
  • Sonic Chaos
  • Sonic Spinball
  • Sonic Triple Trouble
  • Super Columns
  • Tails Adventure
  • The Ninja

Still alright, only £29. Can fit in your pocket easily. I mean, it's not like it's £118.

Also some jerk bought me a PS3, which is garbage. and very heavy.

Wait... what? There's a story here, I just know it.

So….. What did everyone get?

Wife Ninja surprised me with a Sony gold wireless headset. I had been complaining on and off for a few weeks about my previous headset (a Turtle beach bottom of the barrel version.). The damn thing broke a few weeks after I got it but being the cheapskate I am I just “duct taped” it up thinking that would suffice. Yeeaaahhhh… Like I said, cheap. Lol.

Anyway, anything cool or unique you got your little gamer paws on this morning?

I believe two games which have let me regret the decision I took or decisions was Heavy Rain.

I kept replaying multiple times Heavy Rain in order to have an ending that will make me feel satisfied and this how it is supposed to be. However, the decisions I have made to different scenarios are quite hard for me to accept and forced me to like just cancel this play through and start over.

Beyond Two Souls had a similar impact but I didn't feel any regret in the decisions I have made through out the game.

Now that you mention it, I kind of feel the same way.

There were still a lot of moments in beyond 2 souls where the decisions you made impacted the flow of the narrative but I think that they were more focused on telling a story that had certain milestones and markers in order for the tale to move forward and eventually wrap up. As such there weren’t as many “smaller” decisions that ultimately impacted the end result.

Heavy rain on the other hand you’re right about. There were many times I wanted to reload a save due to a frazzled decision I made during some kind of anxiety induced moment. The time sensitive decisions always got to me lol. Heavy rain might actually go down as the one true game where everything you did impacted something unless I’m missing one.

Getting a Sega retro console as a gift, will at least be booted up to see if it works properly.

Is that a.... Sega Nomad? Doesn't look like one. If so, cool, if not... well... even cooler! lol.

These are basically custom handhelds llicensed by Sega. I beleive their are two, Genesis and Master System/Game Gear

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Blaze-Master-System-Handheld-Version-x/dp/B0052WD7YM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482473343&sr=8-1&keywords=sega+handheld

Quality is apparently not great, with no save feature, but it's very cheap.

No save feature? Wasn’t that how most of the old Sega Genesis games were. There were a few games here or there I remember having a built in save feature (like sonic 3.) but correct me if I’m wrong I thought most games at that time expected you to finish them in one sitting.

Yeah, that’s right, we were hardcore lol.

Not only am I old enough to have rented a NES, we also had to rent a VCR when renting movies (early on at least)!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, lmfao. For the love of Hyrule, I would never have thought that they would be offering services like that back then for videogame consoles. That must have been 1985 right? And the VCR comment lol, how many people in the Gamespot community even know what one is? LOL.

When the N64 released in Japan a gaming store near me had imported it and had it on display showing Mario 64. I begged my parents to rent it. It was an $600 insurance payment+$50 a day rental (I think around there).

Best rental ever made. Game was everything I hoped it'd be.

Sweet mother of Shigeru Miyamota, $600!!!! That's absolutely INSANE, especially when you consider that the year must have been around 1996. Give both your parents a hug, they must obviously love you lol.
