If PC dies (which it won't) and all that's left are console games, what'll be the point of playing games anymore? Sure playing console games is great fun but some people need mental stimulation aswell and console rarely deliver any. What chance is there of games like Deus ex being developed if there's no PC?

Flanker15

plenty since deus ex was developed with ps2 in mind lol

It wasn't developed with PS2 in mind, the PS2 version was a gamble to see how well a complex game like Deus ex works on a console. It fell short of the PC version because the controller and hardware limits of a console prevent effecient use of complex game mechanics.

That's why they made the next deus 2 on xbox right?

i remember back in 1996 when n64 first launched i was still mainly a console gamer i mean i had played wolfenstein 3d/doom on pc.

but i used to think n64 was more powerful than a gaming pc because n64 had a 3d excelerator card and no pc at the time of release had a video card/3d excelerator on the market they didnt exist yet only in n64 for non pixelated graphics aka software mode.

i seen my friend playing quake 1 online deathmatch on his 100 mhz pentum 1 gateway pc and i was like damn this crap owns console gaming, but i still thought the graphics were better on turok,

well months later video cards get released on the pc market and quake get's open gl support no more non pixelated graphics then my friend showed me quake again i was like damn dude this blows turoks graphics away.

but basically been a pc gamer since

LOL @ noobs

Too bad im running it all on enthusiast max settings this is one of the best textures in the game

rage blows that crap away man

AdrianWerner

The recent media from RAGE has worse textures than this screenshot. They're not just lower res, but the envioremental textures hardly have any bump or paralax mapping

you must of been seeing console screenshot one with the guy standing in middle of a town with crap ground texture
