To each his own favorites.

Funny thing is, for me, the game genres I like are represented well on both systems.

Gran Turismo - Forza (I'd pick GT)

Killzone - Halo (I'd pick Halo)

God of War - Ninja Gaiden (I'd pick NG)

Metal Gear Solid - Gears of War (Not sure yet)

PlayStation

Gran Turismo
Metal Gear Solid
God of War
Killzone

Xbox

Forza
Ninja Gaiden
Gears of War
Halo

I made a list of my favorite exclusive franchises. These lists are pretty well matched.

Which one do you prefer?

I own all gameconsoles that are on the market right now. My Wii I gave away because it just doesn't appeal to me. I was thinking, everybody discusses what is the best console, xbox 360 or PS3, I think they are both great but they would be better if combined together in 1.

My opinion: The PS3 has the best hardware, Blue Ray (in the long run it just has more space on a disc and thats the truth), chargeable lightweight controllers (i had to buy recharcheable batteries for the 360 controllers, also for the wii though), less wires and most importantly: It's DAMN QUIET. I absolutely HATE the 360 for the amount of noise it makes. I have the Pro so I don't know if the Elite is more silent, if anybody could answer that for me it would be nice.

Downside is: it installs a massive amount of data for almost any game to the point where my hard disc is almost full. I have a 40 GB and 7 games, my favorite is GT 5 P, it costs around 8GB! It has built in wireless internet and I can easily plug my PSP or external Hard Disc onto it. With the 360 you need to buy an extra adapter of 80 just to have xbox live of 60 a year, and I don't even think the 360 has a internet browser. My point is: the PS3 feels so much easier accessible, right now i have a 360 with 60 GB and I still have no way of getting music, movies on it. And I'm not gonna pay for xbox live. To me it's just a gaming machine. Now that I said that I'm not paying for xbox live doesn't mean that i wouldn't want it or that i think it's bad. From what I hear it's way better than the PlayStation Network.

The xbox 360 has the best software. The reason why I bought a 360 was because there were some games exclusively for it: Halo 3, Forza 2, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Gears of War 2 coming out. Ad the fact that almost all of Sony's exclusives have gone multi platform for some reason (either Microsoft made them an offer they couldn't refuse or they thought it was more profitable). The reason doesn't matter, the end result is that it made the 360's library the best right now. Personally i bought all my multi games (GTA4, Devil May Cry 4, Soul Calibur 4) for the PS3 for 1 simple reason. It's more quiet!

I'm not hating on Microsoft because they have all of Sony's exclusives, I think that's just the developpers' choice. It also happens the other way around: look at Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Assasins Creed and Bioshock. Games that first came out on the 360 now come out on PS3. Don't hate, just be happy you can get the game for both systems.

My Conclusion: I like the way the PS3 is designed more than the 360 and if you look at the hardware it's also better. Same goes for the games. I like the way the 360's green games look on the shelf of the store more than the little PS3 games, and in reality, right now the 360's games are better than the PS3's.

I just wished Sony & Microsoft would team up and together would make the console of the next generation. Let Sony do the Hardware and let Microsoft do the Software. A best of both worlds situation. Yeah I know, that'll never happen:)

Mine is GT5 Prologue, it costs 7 GB. And that's only a demo!

A rediculous amount if you ask me. If all games would take up that much space, then you could only install like 5 games.

I've owned a PSP for over 2 years and still think it's a wonderful machine. If it's your only game system it's a great choice. It has almost all good playstation titles in portable format. So if it's the only machine you own it's your best pick.

Recently (a few weeks ago) I bought a PS3, and because that one didn't play PS2 games I also got a PS2. After chipping the PS2 and now having over 25 games for it I start to lose interest in my PSP.

I used the PSP for in-home use only, outside the sunlight blinds the screen anyway. I even owned a xbox 360 for a while but sold that one again because i prefered the PSP above it. All games I had for the PSP I now have for the PS2, the upside is, they're much better then their portable versions. Tekken, Naruto, DBZ, God of War, GTA. Everything is bigger and better. So what does the PSP have left?

Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7. I know you've probably heard this multiple times already but it's the only titel i could come up with that's really exclusive for the PSP and awesome to play. Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid, Killzone and God of War are great too but I much rather play those on the PS2 now.

I've sold all my PSP games and the only one I have left is Tekken. A great portable fighting game you can take with ya anywhere. On my memory stick i keep 2 japanese games: Bleach HtS 5 & Gundam. Both are on no system as good as on the PSP.

I finally understand why people have been complaining about the PSP liberary and I agree now. If you already own a PS2 it's not worth getting a PSP. But if you don't own any gaming system, the PSP is your best choice!

The PSP has almost everything the PS2 got plus it's portable.

I check my mail, and in a flyer from toys r us at the back you see GTA 4. coming 29 April.

Damn

The entire flyer was full of dolls and stuff and then they sell an 18 plus game.

Kinda twisted, you don't see american gangster next to spongebob and you don't see the playboy next to the kids comics.

When will they change?

I don't get why reviewers allways give follow ups a lower rating than the one before.

Example: Gran Turismo 4 lower rating then Gran Turismo 3, Dynasty Warriors 6 lower then 5, God of War 2 lower then 1.

I think you get the point.

The new games are always better then the last version but because the developers didn't innovate enough they gave it a lower rating than the one before.

That way a strange situation is created, when sometimes launch games keep a higher rating then the second or even the third.

What's a person, who's a beginning gamer, to think when they read sites to find advice of what to buy and they see these ratings? Like someone just bought a PS2 and wants a good fighting game and sees that Tekken 4 got a better rating then Tekken 5.

It would be strange to say that although Mario from the 80s is considered the best game ever for someone to buy that now instead of Mario Galaxy. (just an example)

I'd say, sites should make something like a ''Hall of Fame'' and put all the classic games in there (from mario to gran turismo to tekken to gta), and start rating games properly. It would also be wise to update the site once a month to lower the score of a game with the passage of time that way you don't get those confused ratings.

If your a fan of anime, than you're in heaven there.

You got Bleach, Gundam, Naruto, Initial D. (all only available in japanese)

But seeing you're a RPG fan, there are plenty of those also.
