a quad core would be more future proof than a dual core IMO

once games start supporting it, performance will probably increase

the best way to go, its expensive, but if you can get a quad core that runs @ or over 3 GHZ that would be the most powerful route to go because in the long run youre getting 12GHz compared to 6GHz from a dual core...

craigslist is easier, and you can usually get more money because its in cash. plus you deal locally so you dont have to worry about the whole hassle of getting shipping crap together.

and hey, you might make a new friend in the process.

however, if you have no luck posting a classified on craigslist, then you could try ebay

im sure someone would buy it... i would buy it... for like 200 bux-ish

Thanks for the advice, bro. Im worried about one thing though. The computer is really loud ( louder than normal). Probably because it uses all stock fans and stuff. Should I mention this when I list my computer ? TY.

nah, lol. you may mention it comes with stock coolers, but not the loudness. most people out looking for a computer like that are going to use it for parts anyway, like myself.

well

my strategy is buying used computers on craigslist/take computers that are being given away or are in peoples trash, and using them for parts

i have a plethora of computer parts laying around my house because of this whole ordeal, and i usually make great finds on a weekly basis

for example a few weeks ago i found an old dell dimension laying in the trash, that i picked up.. and the only thing wrong with it was its hard drive. inside it i find a geforce 5 series, 450W power supply, a crappy p4 2ghz.. and like 512MB of SDRAM

and this isnt the only PC ive gotten with some decent parts in it..

but the point of the story here is that i got all of that crap for free...

well, to be honest, for the futures sake, you might as well upgrade it... you can get a 500W for like 10 bucks if you know where to look...
