*chuckles*

I bought my EarthBound for $25. I had been looking for quite some time, refusing to pay that much for a game that in all honesty wasn't that rare. I put an ad on CraigsList asking if anyone had it. Ultimately, I got 2 emails. The first was from a guy asking $100, to which I didn't even respond. The second was from a woman about 25 miles away who told me it was the cartridge only, no book, and to set the price. I told her $50, and she said, "No it's not worth that much. Am I missing something? It doesn't have the book and you need the book to play it." I then offered her $25 and she accepted.

Now before you guys think I was playing dirty, you should know that when I went to her house to pick it up she said that she looked it up on eBay and saw that it was going for a lot more. However, instead of going up in price, she said it wasn't worth the trouble and stuck with the same she quoted me.

I later wrote the first guy back and told him that he and I both knew that anyone who paid more than original retail price for that game cartridge alone is foolish, and he responded back with "Yep."

Thanks for the responses, everyone. That actually makes me pretty excited to play it now. I was worried that it was more of a simpleton version of Zelda, and apparently from you guys, it's far from it.

Okay so I've recently gotten a GameCube, and I wanted to get into the Zelda games I haven't played, specifically Wind Waker.

Now, in the hopes of not getting in trouble for posting out of system wars (...), I had a DS a few years ago, and the first game I had for it was Phantom Hourglass. I thought it was GREAT. The art style was amazing and beautiful, the stylus worked wonders for gameplay, yadda yadda... but then after a few hours I realized that it was NOT the Zelda experience I had come to know and love.

The level design was too easy, the puzzles were too simple...and don't get me started on having to repeat the same dungeon over and over, as I know that has been the spark of many a Zelda discussion on here already.

My point is, knowing what I know about the DS version, if I play Wind Waker, am I going to be disappointed?

TBH, I loved this game back in the day. However, when I picked up a copy recently, I was a little disappointed after a while. It wasn't as fun as I remember.

But, if you've never played it, give it a try. It can't be that expensive, I'm guessing, and you'll have fun with it regardless.

I used to pull my hair out playing all of the THPS games. I would try for hours just to hit a perfect line.

Also, the fly-swatting game in Mario Paint used to drive me crazy, especially the yellow jackets that shot bees out of their rear ends. I couldn't make it past Level 3 to save my life. Someone else has got to remember that game..

No Earthbound? Anyone?

Marfoo
No way you're getting that for under $15. I posted it, but it hit me afterward that it would be expensive to get your hands on it, which a poster kindly pointed out.

Actually...I got that game for $25. :) I posted an ad on Craig's List asking if anyone had it, and sure enough within 2 days a woman sent me an email. She said she wanted $25 for it, because it didn't have the book to go with it, and "you need the book to play it." :D

I say Mega Man. I never really could enjoy any of those games as they were just too hard.

When I voted, I truly expected XBOX to be far ahead. It wasn't even winning.

GC gets my vote.

I prefer the SNES versions. Or PC.
