@steelmouth Both launch line-ups are fairly piss poor, just depends which you prefer.
Personally, Forza looks alright, but Dead Rising and Ryse do nothing for me at all. Ryse looks to be broken to shit whereas Dead Rising will get repetitive real quick. Project Spark is about the only thing they announced that I liked the look of.
As for Sony, the indies are actually what i'm most excited about which is kind of weird :/ Minecraft (which I love) and Rime. Then there's infamous in February which will be awesome.
Neither has a strong line-up in terms of exclusives if you're using a level head.
Pre-ordered a PS4 at the weekend from a 'taking the future in mind' perspective. I don't think either platform has anything significant going for them at launch if we're being brutally honest.
The only games revealed so far that have grabbed my interest (across both platforms), are Infamous: Second Son, Rime, and Project Spark.
Everything else looks pretty sub-standard, certainly not worth shelling out vast amounts of money for a new console. Killzone looks same old same old, Ryse is become a car crash and Dead Rising looks like it'll get repetitive real quick. I honestly don't see where people are getting excited for either?
Microsoft will continue to throw money at developers for timed exclusives whilst Sony will release top quality titles from their own studios. It'll be exactly the same as this generation.
Naughty Dog, Media Molecule and Santa Monica Studios are the sole reason i'm choosing Sony's console this upcoming generation.. and yet neither of them have announced their next-gen title! Haha. The only difference between Sony and Microsoft is that I know they'll deliver based on previous experience!
