Take it from me who has this card, 7950 is def the way to go. I can run at MAX everything, plus since technically speaking your i3 beats my amd fx 6300, you slap the card I got into your machine, you will be good to go.

Will you try the following:

Remove all drivers from the PC that associate with the nvidia drivers. Use a driver removal tool

Then install drivers from scratch after reboot.

Try a graphics card program test, like 3dmark or something along those lines

See if your Frame per second come close to what it should be at.....

Depending on AMD's reveal of the Hawaii Islands line of cards today, I'll probably be getting an HD 7970. So, I'm thinking of using my HD 5870 as a digital recording device so that I can upload gameplay videos to YouTube. Is this possible?

I want to do this because when I try to do it with one card, which has to both render the game and record, its performance suffers.

BluRayHiDef

Negative, you need a capture card for that

[QUOTE="warriorlax1234"]

So GTA V is fantastic. Great game, story, graphics are meh (happens when you pc game for years) and I am not trying to turn this into "this better then that" topic here, but every GTA since 3 has come out on PC, just much later that console release. Have any of you bought GTA V for console and couldn't wait for more info on PC release? Have any of you not due to the wait for PC? What are your thoughts?

Squeets

Graphics are certainly not "meh"... Sure jagged edges are annoying, but that is about it as far as graphical shortcomings are concerned at the moment... The rest of the game is gorgeous.

They are not meh if I am sitting on my couch about 7 ft away from the 40 in screen I got. If I sit about 2 feet away (normal gaming distance for me) I can see a lot of imperfections. But again, I am not bashing it , or trying to, it is gorgeous .  I Agree with yea there

I do actually. Invest in  a good power supply. Like really good. Their always good for long lasting "upgrades" for your tower. I personally bought a corsair 850

watt psu.... great PSU.....and will handle any upgrades I throw at it for years

Take it from me (card in Sig) the 7950 is a great overall value/performance card for the price. Can throw anything at it , and it does great.

And my system isn't really a beat by any means either. Stock cooling for the GFX card too, well stock for the twin frozr edition anyhow

Well their hardware isn't garbage. I mean my 7950 3gb card beat out most if not all of its direct competition from nvidia......

Just their (AMD) software is not nearly on the same level as nvidia.
